Finally getting to my new normal

Hi Everyone!!!

I feel like I missed so much. I am loving all the new faces around here. Can someone fill me in on the new pregnant mommies that are all here??? Who got positive tests while I was gone???

I am back to work as of today. Feeling ok about it. Like I said, I am ready to get to my new normal. Daddy is home with Arthur and is amazing with him so I have no worries at all.  : )

A little about me, I know I have been MIA for the last 7 weeks. The first 3 weeks of maternity leave were busy. Taking care of Arthur and just trying to establish that routine left little computer or phone time. The last 4 weeks of maternity leave, were not good. They involved Mike and I both getting sick with colds. I think I gave it to Arthur which the doctor confirmed was RSV. I felt so horrible. It was so sad seeing him with that cough and just being miserable. Then I came down with the second round of mastitis. Holy F. That sucks. After the second time I am now fully weaned and am slowly going through the freezer stash and introducing formula.

And last but not least, I had 3 gallbladder attacks. Apparently, it's pretty common after a pregnancy for a gallbladder to cause issues. There is a pregnancy hormone that cause gall stones to grow rapidly or form if not previously there. So, I had to have gallbladder surgery last week. Ugh...I am so happy to finally be feeling better.

And of course, excited to be able to start posting more again. : )

Here is Arthur on Halloween.

I hope you all are doing well!!!

It actually works out perfect because my mom is retiring at the end of the year. She will be taking over then. My DH is a CNA and works weekends and I don't work weekends. So we actually only need daycare 3 days a week. I wish DH could be a SAHD. That would be perfect. But grandma is definitely the next best thing.
