s/o of yesterday's post about christmas-what are you getting your kids for christmas?
What's on the wish lists for all of the kiddos this year??
Jake hasn't really put together his "real" list, aside from wanting to circle everything in the target toy catalog. He's getting a new set of skis, so that will be his main gift from us. Not sure what Santa is going to bring!
And as always, I'm at a loss for Liam!
Re: s/o of yesterday's post about christmas-what are you getting your kids for christmas?
So far she really wants a palace pet (pets of Disney princesses). But they are a little hard to find right now. Not sure if that will get better or worse as holiday gets near.
I have a Lego friends stable set that I bought awhile ago during a sale so she is getting that. And I just bought like 6 costumes the day after Halloween for dress up to give for Christmas.
I will probably pick out a build a bear princess outfit since I have a coupon too. And she wants some doll outfits so I was going to get her a kid and doll matching outfit.
I feel like she wants everything but there isn't anything major she really wants. I've thought about a doll house or Barbie or princess dream house but seems like a big space waster!!
I got her the Lego Friends Avent calendar to give her for her Birthday. I think another lego friends set will be part of the gift too- perhaps a larger one like the school or or something. She also seems really interested in a carseat/carrier thing from Target for her baby dolls. So I may cave on that even though I am unsure if she will really use it.
Otherwise we're asking for play food, plates, etc for his kitchen and little people things. Of course I sent my mom the list in case people ask her and I get an email saying 'I got pretty much everything on Logan's list. What else does he want?' Not the point, mom!!
-I carved and got the Barbie RV. I think she will definitely play with it a lot. Especially since the car part of it detaches and can haul a horse My mom bought her some more barbie stuff as well
-My little pony figures, DD likes the little ones and has nearly all of them, but they did come out with a new set so she'll get that
-I bought her a small lego friends set. She's showed interest in them and her cousin gave her a car one, but I want to make sure they're something she plays with before I invest the money in them. If it gets use I'll likely get her a bigger set for her birthday
My little pony equestria girl doll.
-connect 4 game
-innotab game
For DS:
John Deere Dump Truck & Bulldozer thing--They're big ones (21 inches) I think they'll be a hit now and again when the weather is nice and he can play with them in the dirt and sand
Basketball Hoop
Power Tools set
Innotab game
Fisher Price Wheelies car set
Dr. Seuss game
Duplo alphabet set
Vtech Go!Go! set-my mom saw these and is getting him one. I think they're a great idea and wish I'd seen them first!
Together:
They each are getting plasma cars and play traffic cones. Our basement is currently a huge unfinished space, so I think it will be great for winter play.
I've seen the little plastic ones but am having a hard time finding in store the bigger stuffed ones. My target doesn't have any and TRU only has the Cinderella one. Dd wanted sleeping beauty one at first which I could find online but now she wants the Ariel one which is proving harder to find!
I don't have too many ideas for the boys yet. Mason keeps asking for a flashlight pet and a magic set....Garrett went through the toy catalog and wanted one of the planes from Disney's Planes. Otherwise, I'm at a loss!
@Meghan&Rich
we have a flashlight friend.... DD got it for trying 25 new foods(ha). I will say they quality is not very good at all. She got a Stuffie a month or so later from my mom. WAY better quality. I actually order these for birthday gifts for classmate parties they are so nice for $25 and free shipping. I realize they don't have a flashlight, but just thought I would pass along our disappointment. And watch your credit card.... after we ordered DH got a call from the company saying he was enrolled in some "club" with them and it was only$xx a month. We never got hit with a fee but made sure to keep our eyes open.
Well my 4 yr old declared yesterday that she wanted a phone. A real one so she could call her grandmother. When I figured out she wasn't kidding and calmly explained to her that she wasn't getting a phone and wouldn't be getting one for many years she promptly started bawling and sobbing. So that was fun.
What she is getting is Bitty Baby stuff - diaper changing table, books, one of the pets. Bike helmet
Caileigh's getting a bike, maybe some AGirl stuff, possibly a nook or something similar.
Eamon - elmo playing drums I picked up last week, lots of balls, helmet (the princess one has got to go), small train set, not sure what else...

Adam is getting the hex bug hive I got on woot for $6. A marble block set I got on zulily for $12 a Lego Robot TShirt -two of his favorite things- also from zulily. I think we are getting him headphones and a cover for his Nabi.
He is asking Santa for skylander swap force- I think, he had mentioned infinity, and a wii U which I was highly discouraging. Basically telling him NO he isn't asking for that.- we DO NO NEED another wii and then we would need all new games ( I know that isn't totally true) and he has a Nabi he doesn't need to play wii on a handheld. ugh.
Most of his wishlist my mom bought already... there wasn't all that much on it. Not sure what ill tell other people.
Ian, I got a taggie monkey toy and a size sorter fish take- both zulily and a cute little wooden fish rattle I found at PBK. Probably gonna tell people money for him, until he is old enough to say what he wants since we have ALL Adams stuff. I did realize Santa will have to come up with something because Adam has seen everything ?I bought. darn it.

I just sorted through all of the catalogs last night - that Young Explorers and there's another...BrainMind (?!) that has some really neat educational-type toys that I want to look closer at.
I usually do the shopping, but I want DH to get involved this year bc I want to reign it in. In the past, while I never spent a LOT, I got a lot of smaller, inexpensive type toys and it's just too much. And next year is a spendy one for us with buying a house, a trip to NY with family, and Ireland in the Fall for a family wedding. *sigh*
Sean's 1st birthday is one week before Christmas, so I did get him the 3-in-1 trike (Little Tikes, I think) back in Sept. when there was a Groupon for the store and free shipping; that's his bday gift. TRU also had a BOGO on FP toys in September, so I picked up a music chair and another toy for Christmas. There will be a couple of more small toys for him (eyeing up the Mega blocks at Aldis for $12 this week), but that's it.
Gavin is really into drawing (and is really good at it) and Legos, but I think my Mom took care of those. He'll probably get another DS game from GameStop, and I'd like to get him a construction set of some sort. I also found a kit that has four model wooden trucks that he can put together and then paint - that kind of mixes all of his interests!.
Conall is into trucks - garbage ones in particular. I found a remote controlled one that he would love, but $65 seems a lot for something that may not last a week with him. I need to scout the books now for other ideas for him.
'Tis the season!

Oh cool site, Sheila. I hadn't heard of them!
And I just looked - the catalog is MindWave. I'm not sure how we got on their list...
