Christmas Wishlist - Books?
What books are on your wishlist for Santa this year?
Re: Christmas Wishlist - Books?
I am getting a bookshelf so I will wait on more books to see what will fit.
For example:
http://www.amazon.com/Chronicles-Narnia-Full-Color-Oversize-Edition/dp/0060845287/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1384272104&sr=8-2&keywords=chronicles+of+narnia+hardcover
Also some of the presidential biographies (or what I expect to make it through in the next year).
@booknerd226 - Are you asking for the Alan Lee Illustrated LOTR set? I got those (plus Hobbit) for my husband years ago. They are soooo beautiful!
I think I'm going to ask for a Kindle. I have an iPad that I use to rent library books using Overdrive, but I'm getting frustrated with the selection and the wait times. I already have Amazon Prime and since you can't use the Kindle app to rent books using Prime I think it would be worth it.
The downside is that we can't use personal electronics at work, so I would have to leave my office to read during lunchtime.

Pretty much this. I will occasionally get amazon or b&n gift cards though. Also occasionally if someone needs an idea for me and I have a book or two in mind that I would like a paper copy of (I tend to buy kindle books myself) I will ask for it. But usually I don't ask for books.
I asked for B&N GCs, but I would really like the following in hardcover:
HP
Seven Realms
Outlander Series
Divergent Boxed Set (even though Allegiant pissed me off)
Grisha series
Seer of Sevenwaters and Flame of Sevenwaters by Juliet Marillie
The Matched series
The Pure trilogy
And a bunch of gluten free cookbooks
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
Pretty much this. I do sometimes ask for physical copies of books I've loved on Kindle. Last year for my birthday and Christmas, my parents and DH got me the entire Outlander series signed by DG. This year I have hardcover HP on the list, but that's it.
Also @booneybear, that club looks badass. Want.

I forgot that I had preordered this and it just showed up in the mail last week. Best. Surprise. Ever. It's hilarious!
