most disgusting and ignorant Dr. ever!!! *rant!
Sorry in advance but this is going to be long!
Back story: my husband has been having some really bad mood swings, going from just fine to fuming mad in an instant with no trigger. He doesn't get violent but he will shout and get nasty so he has been seeing a few drs to try and figure out what's going on
Dr. Visit - my husband finally got his appointment with a neurologist to see if they could pin point if anything might be wrong in Hubby's brain activity. We had heard some iffy reviews about the doc but went anyways...BIG mistake! I have never been so disgusted, insulted, and angered in 15 min in my life!!
The Dr. Starts by asking questions and every time we answered he would go "huh,huh,huh?" Like he couldn't understand plain English. My husband went in to explain he is an apprentice mechanic and the man sounded like a child just learning to read as he tried to write the word apprentice...he then went on to insult my husbands post secondary education and his college...the same one I went to!
(It gets worse....)
We had to bring our kids to the apt and we had waited an hour past the apt time to get in to see this man so my 2 year old was really wound up by the time we went in. The doc looked at my son and said "maybe he's the one with the problem! Got his issues from daddy" and later went on calling my son ADHD!
(And worse....)
During the physical check up of my husband the Dr. Used the little reflex hammer on my husband and my son thought it was funny and kept happily saying "bang, bang!" And the doctor VERY harshly gestured a pretend bang on my sons knees. It was so hard, had he actually hit him he would have damaged my kids knees! I was SO angry!
(Most offensive thing ever!!!....)
The doc had my husband lay on the table to he could check his belly, my husband is overweight but nothing extreme, just a little extra padding around the middle. Well, when my lifted his shirt the doctor went "whoa! Look at this!" And proceeded to smack around his belly....he then looked at me and said
"Looks like YOU got HIM pregnant! Better get an ABORTION and get that baby out!"
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot explain how offended we were and still are!!!

When the appointment was ending the doc said my husband looked fine. Nothing wrong with him....then proceeded to prescribe him an anti anxiety medication.... He doesn't have anxiety!!! He also wants him to go for an EEG and another brain scan.
After we left the office we looked up the medication and it isn't even for anxiety! Its a hard core anti depressant meant for suicidal people with major depression!!!
Needless to say my husband won't be doing anything this man has suggested and will b getting a second opinion elsewhere. We will also be complaining to the college of physicians about him!
I am in Canada...if you are ever referred to a Dr. Somchai Jiaravuthisan DON'T GO!!!
His office was also disgusting! Empty pop band and bottles everywhere!! They were piled to the ceiling! I'll attach a pic

We did Google him afterward and cannot believe with the reviews he has received thathe even still has a licence!
