FFFC

I had one yesterday and now I can't think of it..

Re: FFFC

  • I made a pot of coffee at the office this morning, and somehow got some grounds in the pot.  I just poured it through another coffee filter and back into the pot and called it a day instead of making a fresh one.

  • What's the big draw about Disney? Nothing personal to those who are fans. I know someone IRL who goes multiple times a year. Honeymoon/birthday/anniversary, you name it. It seems slightly immature and like a waste of a vacation to me. Am I a kill joy or what?

Eh, I don't really see the appeal either!  That's just me though.  I went once when I was in middle school and it was nice, but nothing I would want to go back many times for.  Also, I problem just dislike it more because of how expensive it is!

    Yes, you are ;)

I'm not a big fan - I don't own Disney clothes, décor, etc, but DH and I went a few years ago and had a blast.

  • My sister is planning on starting TTC#2 next month and she got PG with baby#1 by having ST 1 time in the whole month and I just can't help but feel like she is going to get PG right away. I am already planning my fake happy congrats to her because I know when I find out I am going to be so hurt and jealous on the inside I will need to cover it up.

Honestly I don't get it either.  It's a good thing to do every once in a while, like every 10 years.  Lol I live here and it is just too darn expensive and crowded.  It really isn't a whole lotta fun. I will for sure take my kids, when they are old enough to enjoy it.  When we do end up having kids.  But as of just us, no thanks...

I've been to DLand once (wasn't impressed) and I'd like to go to DWorld once, but that's probably enough for me. I love Disney movies, but I'm in the same camp with you. We have some friends that go ALL.THE.TIME. I'm not knocking them or anyone that loves Disney, I just don't understand. I just feel like I'd get bored with it? Meh, to each their own! I guess the same could be said for 6 Flags and I have been there a million times and we're planning on season passes again next year :)

  • Disney is a great vacation for me because I don't like the beach. It's warm (we go in winter), there's a million things to do, and it's always different.

To me, the beach = pain and sunburn. It's boring. I like to be busy on vacations. We eat, we walk around, we drink, it's perfect.

  • After truthfully answering '2 or 3 times a year' on the fast food CPW, I have had it twice. I blame that CP, and the GPBL thread. Because clearly it can't be my fault.

Ah! This makes sense. The people I know who go to Disney often are people who enjoy being busy. And that's not me at all, I love laying on a beach with a fruity drink and doing absolutely nothing :) And I also hate amusement parks, so that's probably another bias sneaking into my opinion about Disney...

  • We just took DS to Disney in February and I want to go back simply to have a better experience than we did. DS was adjusting to new meds and it made the trip a bit tense worrying about then dealing with melt downs. We have discussed taking child #2, should we ever have one, when they are about 4-6 years old.

But I have friends that go multiple times a year and drive from Philly with 3 kids. I think the parents like it better than the kids. But I am not one to go there every year or even every 5 years. I would take Universal Studios over Disney every time.

  • I went to a work conference yesterday and stuffed a few cans of diet coke in my purse to bring home. I know I know. I'm a terrible person.

It was my consolation prize for having to listen to the speaker talk about how babies can hear music from the womb (It was an early childhood conference) and then ask "raise your hand if you've ever been pregnant."

I wanted to punch her in the face.
