Need help from craft DIYers on recreating something...
Hey all,
I'm looking for some help and input from all you crafty experienced DIYers out there. I don't even know if this is the right spot to post, but thought i'd give it a try.
My initial thought was brown yarn and modge podge. I attempted it by soaking the yarn in a bowl of traditional modge podge and then laying it out in a funky pattern. It looked great, but didn't hold together very well.
Any thoughts and expert opinions on other supplies out there that would work better?
Thanks!

Re: Need help from craft DIYers on recreating something...
ok so I took a look at this and there could be a couple of different was to aquire what you are looking for. I am not sure that I would use yarn it isn't sturdy enough. but here is what I can up with
1. you can use a wooden frame. and use either colored wire or hemp which you can find at ac moore or Michael's or even jo ann fabricis (and they always have great coupons) I would wrap the hemp or the colored wire around the outside of the wooden frame. you can make is abstract or you can make a design out of it. you can tack the ends down with hot glue or supper glue. although I would probably use hot glue. and you and wrap things as tightly and or as loosely as you wanted to and the same goes for the wire. And you can get coupons for all products and not pay full price for them. I hope this helps.
You might also want to try using a sturdier material. I'm not sure if the link will work, but here:

There are lots of wall decorations made with thin strips of toilet paper and paper towel rolls. The cardboard holds it's shape, can be curled, or flat, and can be hot-glued together. Even if you do go with something sturdier, like cardboard, I think fitting it within a wood or metal frame is still a good idea.
I hope this helps, have fun experimenting!
