Child Spacing

So I came across this article a while ago on Pinterest and just came across it again. I love that it has Pros and Cons for the age gaps. What do you guys think? What spacing do you want or are you one and done?

Re: Child Spacing

  • I think we will probably try for #2 when Abby is 2. By the time our next lo arrives Abby would be 3.

  • I always thought the two to three, because I want them to bond. But we will have to see when 1 comes along to even think about 2.

  • T and I aren't sure either. We are thinking about 2-4 years. That could very well change though.

     01.21.2012---> I married a redhead I'm crazy about.

    04.2016: IT'S A BOY! Elias Alan is due!

    WDW trips: 05/14 (1st trip! Art of Animation; Little Mermaid), 05/15 (Pop Century!). DL Trips: 12/15

  • We haven't even had number 1......not even thinking about number 2 yet.

  • ha ha, never seen that but very interesting.  I was thinking minimum 18 months if not 2 years.  But I don't want more than 3 years if it's possible to avoid it.  We've always said we would talk about it when Lily is 1.  So if we do try right away they will be almost 2 years apart or if we want to wait a bit longer we can.

  • We have 4.5 years between our 2. I like that my oldest is a helper and self sufficient. We thought we would have our last two close together, but that doesn't seem like it will happen. J is already 2.5. We haven't talked about trying again. The split between the oldest and youngest will be 8 years if we do try again. I'm not sure if I want that.

    My dad (the oldest) and his youngest brother are about 9 yrs apart.  Seemed to work out well at least in their case.

  • I wish there were less Cons in each child spacing. But I'm also leaning towards 2-3, but I guess that depends on how #1 and life goes :)

    Jared, mister "I don't have to be the one who is pregnant" wants closer together. Like within the first year try again >.< I think he mainly wants it so we're younger and have more energy. Sweet idea but I think I'd rather wait a bit haha

  • Oh I would have loved twins.  I secretly hoped I would have twins. Now that I've had just one, I'd like to keep it to just one at a time.  Just not sure I could handle a toddler and twins.
