We had 3 showings in the last 3 days and one more planned for this Saturday. We think 2 of them were second time visitors. Our realtor was texting and emailing me last night with all kinds of questions, with the last one being, "They want to know how quickly you can be out". Im trying really really hard not to get my hopes up, but this is the first real feed back we have gotten.
Now, Im thinking, holy shit dude, we might have to move out of our house before Christmas!! Now Im freaking out about being forced to pick out a house too quick and not waiting for what I want, or having to move 10 years worth of shit, two different times, the first time being within the next 30 days. Or where we are going to live because moving in with my parents is not my ideal place to live even for a few months because of the disapline aspect with C. We always have the option to move into our beach house, which DH suggested and it make me love him more for that suggestion because that house is my happy place. But it also adds about 25 minutes to my commute and 40 minutes to his. At my moms it would shorten my commute by 20 minutes and only add 10 to his.
I would prefer being out after the first of the year, but I dont want the potential buyer to be put off by that and move on. Hopefully they understand tis the season and give us a break. I will have a solid 8 days to pack during the Christmas break.
Sorry this whole thing seems like a cluster-eff, but my brain was at 100mph at 5:30 this morning.
Re: Ish just got real
YAY!! Say you can get out ASAP! I told our buyers that we would get out next week if the price was right. No but seriously, in this market, if they want you out..get out.
As for moving in with your mom or moving to your beach house, I would totally move to the beach house. It isn't forever and your sanity is totally worth it.
boy (n): a noise with dirt on it
I told them we can be out in 30 days. Which puts us into the week before Christmas. Im so used to the drive to the beach that it wouldnt be a big issue. I just want this whole thing to be over. I am beyond stressed about it still being on the market and the unknown.
So much so that we actually started car shopping because I need a new car. Thats on the back burner now.
