I'm totally going to word vomit all over right now so feel free to ignore it.
I am so stressed out it's not even funny. We are moving in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS and H hasn't done a damn thing to help me. We agreed that, since we're moving into his parents' house and not a real house, we should move everything that we can before the movers come. It just makes more sense for us to move boxes and such and leave the big stuff to the movers. Well guess who has been doing all of the boxing and moving? If you guessed Shawn, you're wrong. ME. ME. I've been doing it. He hasn't put a single thing into a damn box. I've been the one dealing with our sellers' realtor, our buyers' realtor, and the mortgage person. Me. Not him. He also told me this morning that he hates the new house and he doesn't want to live there. Um okay because you were totally on board the past week that we've talked about it and you were the one who picked out which price we should start with when we put our offer in today.
So then Sunday night, I caught the stomach bug that H had and was out of commission until like 3 am this morning. I got up and went into the kitchen and there was stuff EVER.Y.WHERE. Everywhere. T's toys were all over the place. The sink was full of dishes. T's dinner hadn't been cleaned up. There was just a ton of crap everywhere. So then Shawn wakes up and tells me that he's so hungry because he didn't eat dinner. I said why? He goes "oh because you didn't make anything." Seriously?! I was asleep for almost 24 hours straight. MAKE YOUR OWN DINNER! For the love of God, even if it's just a sandwich. Feed yourself. He then tells me that he didn't give the baby his bath or brush his teeth. And that there were no clean bottles for me to take to daycare.
Whyyyyy is it that momma has to do everything and it goes completely unnoticed but when dad changes a diaper, he gets a parade thrown in his honor? Sorry I'm totally pissy today and really pissed about this house thing. I do not want to live with my inlaws longer than we need to.
Re: Really?!
I had a meltdown on Saturday. Full on ugly tears meltdown.
M decided to "help" me clean off my desk in our bedroom, which for him means throwing shit into a box & telling me to sort through it later. Um, I don't have time to do that right now or it would have been done already. I have worked nearly every day for the past two months straight on top of taking our children to & from school & dealing with my dad's stuff. He had the audacity to complain that I never ask for help & when I told him it's because when I do, it doesn't get done, he got all huffy. He proved my point to me yesterday morning when I asked him if he'd cut up some fruit for R to take to school for his birthday snack. "Oh. No, I didn't get around to it." THAT IS WHY I DON'T ASK FOR HELP.
I have wine & a sofa & Gilmore Girls if you want to come hang out. Bring Teddy. I'm sure my boys would love to corrupt play with him.

I'd sit him down and have a for real discussion about the house. This isn't something he can just go back and forth on. Guys have no problem living with their moms, I'd make it clear that you're not budging on it.
This is a big fear of mine, to the point we've had a ton of talks about if/when we have kids. His ex was a SAHM... I work. This go-around will be different. I will need help!
I had to laugh at him being hungry @amcourt09 - seriously?! He's that helpless?! I'm surprised he didn't hit up taco bell! Jeff would have.
You have evrey right to be pissed. I would be. He needs a come to Jesus talk, like today. 2 weeks is nothing!
I fully expect dirty kids, dishes and messes all over the place when Im sick. Though they always order out instead of cooking something which is fine since its less mess for me to clean up later. Certianly doesnt mean I like it though.
Im sorry you are dealing with all this. I agree, first night you are settled in T-Town,we all crash Mandi's and sit on her millon couches and drink copious amounts of wine. Two little boys, two big boys and they can entertain each other.
guys suck. can we move onto you saying that you put an offer in on the house!! did I miss this somewhere else @amcourt09 ?
so excited for you!!
