Does this sound normal?

I have been having these really weird pains down in my lower abdomen and down through my crotch area all day. Like shooting pains enough to stop me in my tracks and hold my breath until it’s over. It takes my breath away. Its all over, not just specific areas. I’m in the “chill zone” timing of my cycle right now so these aren’t associated with my body preparing to do anything either way. I have had cysts burst before, but that pain was localized to one side or the other. I don’t really want to call the doctor because it might be nothing, but it’s kind of scary.

Am I over reacting? Or should I call?

Re: Does this sound normal?

  • Well I don't know what this may be, but hopefully it isn't anything to worry about.  I would probably just call the dr and ask. Lots of times when something is going on with my body, I will worry about it and look on the internet for answers.  Makes me more freaked out than just calling and finding out.  Good to know rather than wonder I guess..  Good luck Skiz...

  • If you are in severe pain it's worth a call to your doctor.
  • it can't hurt to call and ask!
  • I'd at least call and ask if it hasn't gone away yet.

  • Women often have referred pain from other areas of their body, so to be on the safe side I think you should call.  It could be gas, reproductive system related, something else entirely, or nothing.  If you are in pain, your body is telling you something.
