What's on your or DH's Christmas list?

I can't really think of anything, and tried to get DH on board with skipping presents for each other, but he refuses.  He always goes along with my plans and crazy ideas, so I GUESS I can go along with him buying me something for the holidays.  ;)

All I can think of is an otterbox for my phone.  I have one from 5 Below now, which works fine but looks cheap, so I don't even really need one. Other than that I just have the usuals of new pj's, gift cards, etc.  I might try to come up with a date night themed gift to give him, but otherwise I don't have many ideas.

Do you have a wishlist this year?

Re: What's on your or DH's Christmas list?

  • Brian has nothing on his list, but we're not exchanging gifts (we went to the steelers game a few weeks ago & called that our christmas) so the fact that he has no list bothers no one but my mom & MIL!  I suggested that one of them buy him a gift card for Hidden Valley; he and Jake got season passes this year, but figured a gift card would be nice for them to use for lunch sometimes.

for me, I need new slippers, a vacuum to keep in my basement (that's where we come in & out of, so the dirt that is tracked in drives me crazy but I hate hauling the dyson out all the time), some gift cards (love my Express jeans & want a new pair, so I asked for a gift card to there) I fell in love with this ring on etsy and sent it to brian has a huge hint-hint for my birthday (also in December):  http://www.etsy.com/listing/159479904/tiny-personalized-wrap-name-ring?ref=sr_gallery_5&ga_search_query=personalized+stacking+rings&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all

  • Oh! I also asked for rainboots, finally.  Every single time it rains and my feet get soaked standing at the bus stop, I am cursing myself for not owning a pair!

  • Emmy - love that ring!!

DH & I don't exchange gifts either, so I won't be much help.  But would Rich like a date night / day at Osiris for the 2 of you!?

    :x
  • I just bought myself a new camera, so K was all annoyed at me. I told him it was something I had to pick out for myself.  so I may list a few accessories for it for him to get me if he wants.  what is harder is my birthday is coming up too.  My mom and sister will want lists too.

I have no idea what I will get K, he doesn't make lists. Cause he sucks. And he just told me he probably doesn't need any clothes. which is my backup gift when I can't come up with something else. Maybe I will get us a tablet...
  • I try to talk DH into no gifts too each year. Last year we were just suppose to have our long weekend trip to Key West. He bought me other stuff. This year since we will have baby #2 coming down the road and want to replace some baby stuff (infant seat will expire a month before due date, want a video monitor) I am ok with some BRU gift cards. Maybe gift card to get a pedi when I can no longer reach. DH has mentioned wanting a smoker.I am even at a loss for Madi. My hair lady's daughter moved to Orlando and they are going there for christmas. Everyone decided no gifts and she said it was so nice and stress free.
  • Emmy - We have not been to Latitude 40 yet, that is a good idea!

Beth - I would LOVE another spa day at Osiris!  I think I am going to make that my annual Mother's Day gift.  Rich would probably rather poke his eyes out than do anything spa related.  He hates massages and things like that, I'm not sure what's wrong with him!

  • Wow - that's a shame! Dave isn't big on it either, but we went as part of our anniversary gift and enjoyed the hot tub and sauna and then got facials and a massage and he really liked it! I mean, how do you NOT like someone giving you a rubdown!?

Nathan wants a new gun. I am uh on that. I think he has enough. I got him a new shirt and scarf at Banana Republic the other day. He wants new running shoes but I may tell my mom to get him those. He wants a lunch thermos we saw at Field & Stream. He is usually happy with whatever I get him. I can easily buy him clothes since he has decided that he likes his clothes to be slimmer that what he has worn in the past so I could probably donate most of his closet.

Me:I would like a new enamal dutch oven since mine has seen better days. I have some Clark booties I want, some things from J.Crew but that is easy for him because he will just have my sister get them for him. I really want a Shinola watch but that is out of the budget this year. I also would like a point and shoot camera that I can throw in my purse, I love my DSLR but it is a pain to carry around.
But if he really wanted to get me something awesome and amazing, he could put a deposit on a lab from the breeder I want my next dog from. There is a 6-12 month wait list, although this would be a better birthday gift since we have a couple of trips next summer and finding a dog sitter for three is pretty tough. I also have mentioned that I want a custom painting of Murphy by the woman I had do one for him of Mopar but this would require him to be really on the ball so I don't think it will happen

  • Nothing - he never asks for anything. And if I ask him, he'll say that!

    My three sons!

  • DH and I do no gifts...we buy so much throughout the year for ourselves or for each other so we don't do Christmas gifts.  I'll buy him a bottle of scotch for his birthday or a gift card for golf for his birthday but Christmas is about the kids.

  • We do the 12 days of Christmas for each other and we both get new pj's. We buy a big ticket item and call that our main gift to each other. This year, our big gift is buying our first house! We close on Dec. 12th so I think that's perfect timing :)
