We traded in our Suburu Tribeca, not only because the mileage sucked on it, but also because the transmission was acting up and weird lights kept popping on. The dealer couldn't figure it out and we didn't want to take the risk of it breaking down and then getting nothing for trade-in value.

So we decided to get a ford focus. It's newer, has less miles on it and gets way better mileage. So happy with it! :)

    I got the quintessential mom mobile: minivan. I swore I would NEVER have one but honestly, it's the best. When you have to tow a toddler, a husband, sometimes a dog and mother, there is no better alternative. But unfortunately, yes, the babe will age the car quickly. Luckily she's still young so you have time before the Cheerio crumbs hit but you'll be inundated with the other infant needs.

    @vitan My mom used to have a minivan, and I loved it. I drove it a couple times when I got my permit then she sold it. DH is adamant about no minivans though. ;)

    Funny but in this household, it was DH who was pushing the minivan while I was anti minivans. Granted, he wouldn't be driving it and he gets to keep his sporty car but when he drives the van, he loves it. I think for men it's kinda the same thinking of "my dignity is gone. Minivans are not sexy" but I ate those words right up because minivans are so much cooler now. Mine even has a sunroof. I'm stylin'.

    Haha that's funny you're H was all for the minivan @vitan. You're right @teacherlady79, it seems like men mostly have an issue with them for no reason. They're nice rides! We had a ford wind star in that weird seafoam green color and it was awesome. :)
