Hi ladies I need some insight.

Rough month for me.

I'm wondering if this is yet again another chemical pregnancy like last month. =[

On 11/21 I got a very very faint line on my pregnancy test. I waited and on 11/23 it was still just as faint and then bam my AF showed up 11/25 which was 3 days early in a full force, heavy, clotted, crampy, painful mess. It's been so heavy. Last night I bled through my super tampon (only slept 5.5 hours) and got on my pajama pants. =[ Used 3 tampons so far today, but at least the cramps arent hurting so much right now.

I don't know and I can't go to the OB yet as my insurance doesnt kick in until January. I have a wicked high deductible thanks to Obamacare so I want to save these appointments until I have it.

I am CD2 right now and seem to O around CD14. Someone mentioned I may have progesterone problems and when I researched it the symptoms of low progesterone I have like 85% of them (endo, clots during af, fatigue, bad cramps, mc's, cold hands and feet, etc). So she sad think about buying progesterone cream, and maybe I need it to get the egg to stay.

What do you ladies think? I hate self diagnosing because I don't want to do any harm to my body. Have you used cream? How would I use it? The directions say to stop before AF, but if I want to be pregnant to I keep using it? Should I even use it or just keep trying and hope I get a viable pregnancy.

Thanks!

Re: Hi ladies I need some insight.

  • I am soooo sorry you are going through this! Is it possible you can call your OB and just talk to them before you go to the appointment? Or maybe is there a clinic you can stop in and chat with someone at a clinic? I feel so bad that you are going through this and you can't even go see a doctor yet...
I would personally want to talk to a doctor before using progesterone. I hope you get answers soon.

  • I have no advice to offer, but I'm really sorry you're going through this.  What @Sewilson33 said makes sense.  I hope you can at least speak to a doctor before your appointment.

  • I'm so sorry you are going through this. :( I wouldn't be comfortable moving forward with using progesterone cream w/o a docs supervision. I like the suggestion of calling and speaking to the Dr. or at least a nurse.

    Best of luck.

I would talk to your OB before using any sort of progesterone supplement though.

  • I wouldn't recommend it, but I do know someone that used the cream without doctor's supervision.  She used it one cycle and it's the cycle she got pregnant (after 2+ years of TTC).  She did not have a diagnosed progesterone problem, but wanted to try the cream anyway.  She continued using it several weeks into her pregnancy until her doctor convinced her it was safe to stop.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I'd want to have my progesterone levels checked first and be under the care of a doctor when using progesterone.

ETA: There are also other reasons for the repeat CP's that I'd want to rule out as well.

  • Thanks ladies. Sorry I just kind of went MIA for a few days I've been so bummed. But it's okay. I can't go to a doctor until January so I'm just sitting here letting it play itself out. I can't change anything that is happening right now. I stopped temping and charting. And we agreed to take a more relaxed approach this month with just our vitamins/fertilaid and opks.

  • Good for you for relaxing and getting your mind off of it. That way you'll be refreshed and ready for a plan with the dr's if needed! I'm sorry you have had a rough time with it so far. Hopefully you will be able to put it all behind you come January!!
