Do you prefer real or fake Christmas trees? Why?

Right now we have a fake Christmas tree. I figure it's just the two of us and we're not even home on Christmas. When we have kids we'll go out and get a real tree and make it a family event.

Fake. When we were in the condo and it was just the two of us, it was just so much easier than to go out and get a real one then lug it up 3 flights of stairs. Maybe we'll get a real tree when T gets older but for now, we'll stick with our fake one.

Fake! We have always had a fake tree growing up and I honestly prefer them. Also I have asthma and the smell of a real tree keeps it acting up and I end up really sick.

Really doesn't matter to me. Hubby and I get a real one, but my mom and dad had the same Christmas tree for 25 years.

Fake! I will never ever get a real Christmas tree- they make a mess and I'm not really a fan of the smell. H and I both grew up with fake trees so we don't feel like we're missing out on the experience (since we never had it)

Fake but H wants a real one when we are settled into the house for Christmas next year. I told him we can do fake for the living room and put a real one in the sun room.

I prefer real, but last year we bought a fake one. The last few real ones dried out too fast and we ended up taking it down two days after Christmas. I like to keep it up until the New Year.

REAL! Growing up I always had a real one. The only time we had a fake one was for the 2 years H and I lived in our apartment. I love the smell of the Christmas tree! Because of my allergies and the amount of hair our cats shed we vacuum every other day so the needles aren't a problem. We typically have our tree up for 3 weeks before it gets droopy.
