Discuss ~ Mom Posts Bikini Selfie 4 Days After Giving Birth
This woman posted a picture on Instagram of her in tiny undies and bra four days after giving birth. It's caused a huge controversy. People have their pitchforks out, saying this woman "declared war" on other women.
Do you think the haters are right, or is that just another version of body-shaming?

ETA- because I fail at words. :-(
My Ovulation Chart

If she had never posted pictures of herself before then I'd side eye her posting this one. Or is the picture was accompanied by some text attempting to "shame" others. But it seems in keeping with her social media M.O.

But honestly, I think she has every right to post this picture, even if it makes some women jealous. She didn't make any commentary (that I know of) that would shame another woman for not looking like that four days after giving birth. It just seems she was proud of her pre-pregnancy body just as she is proud of her post-pregnancy body. If she had been a little flabbier would people be just fine with it? Why is it not okay for her to post it just because she looks so good?

But the reality is, every body is different, especially post pregnancy. And during pregnancy. They mentioned that her bump was small, but that isn't really indicative of how much weight she did or did not put on during pregnancy.
So, I have no problem with it. I wouldn't go so far as to say everybody who does have a problem is jealous, but I see nothing wrong.

With this... my first reaction was "holy hell, put on some clothes" not OMG totes jealousE ... my second reaction was "how is this even possible?" Doesn't it take a while for your ute to shrink back down and stuff?
But in general, rock on, lady. Be proud of your body. I know if I ever have kids I sure as shit won't look like that 4 days PP (or before BFP, or before said child goes to college, lol.) but I'm ok with that. That's fine. That's me. I am not her, she is not me. So whatever. Do what you want, if putting bra and panty selfies on instagram makes you feel good, go for it. People aren't forced to follow or friend you on IG. :shrugs:

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.
This was my response when I saw it. I just can't believe it.
A) Where are her granny panties to hold her super sized Depends pads? I don't care how good you look in those undies, you would be a mess in two minutes.
C) Photoshop? Good lighting?
Listen, I am the first to give a momma kudos for bouncing back after a baby but I just can not believe the photo to be true. Even my best friend who is 110lbs with a barbie body took a few weeks for her ute to shrink down enough to stop bulging.

My thoughts exactly. I was "all baby" when I was pregnant with my son. I don't think it's humanly possible to be this toned and fit 4 days after a baby. The big boobs, that's a given, tones thighs and butt, sure, she's a fitness blogger, but the tummy? I have a hard time believe this. I don't care who you are, or what trainer and dietician you have, you will have SOME jelly belly 4 days PP. Hello, your abs get pulled apart and skin is a little saggy from the 9 months of stretching, and your ute is still large and just as PP have said, where is the grandma-nater underwear and belly button to butt-crack pad?? Even is she didn't gain a single pound in the pregnancy, I still don't know how her tummy can be this toned and cut 4 days PP.
However, if I looked this good at anytime, I would be proud and want to show off as well, but not in my undies for the entire internet to see. I have noticed that more and more people are into "clean eating" and working out, and that is great! I think we all should strive to be healthy and look great, so bashing her is for the insecure and jealous. It motivates me to want to work harder. No bashing, but is this for real??

I say good for her! Not a lot of people can have a body like this right after giving birth, but some women are blessed with it. She probably didn't gain much weight during her pregnancy and kept up on her exercise. I wish I could even keep up on my work outs. If I looked like this after having a baby I would be so proud of my body. I probably wouldn't put a pic of myself up on Instagram or FB or whatever, but all power to her.
I think the people who keep bad mouthing her are just jealous. We do whatever we can. Some people have the time or make sure to make the time to work out, as some do not. Just like some people easily stay thinner than some others. Everyone is different and everyone should embrace themselves and be proud of themselves. We all are who we are.
