best/worst read in November
Best and worst read for the month and why:
Not a stellar month for me...
Best- Eleven Days by Lea Carpenter. Refreshing and kept me in suspense. I wanted more character development though.
Worst - And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. Just so disappointing. Obviously rushed to print.

2014: 4/40
[2010: 63] [2011: 35] [2012: 23] [2013: 27]
my read shelf:

Best was a tie between Tell the Wolves I'm Home and Where'd You Go Bernadette?. Both were 5 stars.
Worst was Heat Wave. 2 stars.
ETA: I reserve judgment also based on the end of Fangirl. Right now it's a solid 4 stars but based on the end may get bumped to 5 and get added to the best list above. I have about 60 pages left and will finish tonight at some point.
ETA 2: Just finished Fangirl and it's remaining a 4 star. If I didn't like it so much up to the last 15 or so pages, I'd probably actually bump it down.
my read shelf:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling- 4.5 stars
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell- 4.5 stars
Best: Someday, Someday, Maybe
Worst: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - I may have liked this better had I read it, the narrator in the audiobook was awful.
Best: Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson #3) - 4 stars
Worst: Allegiant - 2 stars
Best: Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. I could not put it down!
Worst: Tied between Allegiant and Neverwhere. Allegiant for the reasons everyone says and Neverwhere because it just wasn't my cup of tea. I think the writing and story were good, I just didn't like it. Sorry Gaiman fans.

I actually had a very good reading month in November.
Best: Probably Inner Harbor by Nora Roberts or The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
Worst: I didn't read anything that I didn't like but I guess I would pick The Host. I usually don't watch the movie before I read a book but I had watched this with the kids a few months ago and I had a really hard time getting into the book because I kept comparing it to the movie.

my read shelf:
Best - Champion (Legend #3) by Marie Lu.
Worst - It was actually a really good reading month. My least favorite was Me Before You. I wanted to throw my eReader against the wall at the end. There was a theme that was pushed at the reader, but then part of the book completely negated that theme, and it made me mad/sad. (I actually wrote my own, brief, alternative ending if anyone cares to read it! LOL) The book did make me think, so I will give it that.

My read shelf:

Worst: Sentinel (Covenant #5) - 2 stars. I was really looking forward to the conclusion of this series and it was such a let down.
IVF w/ICSI - transferred 2; froze 3
Beta #1 150 Beta #2 320 - 7/16 124 bpm (6w5d) EDD 3/6/13
Our team green baby was a girl! Emma Lynn born 2/23/13
my read shelf:
Best - Shatter Me by Tehereh Mafi and Champion by Marie Lu - both 5 stars.
Worst - Where there's a Will, there's a Way by Nora Roberts - I gave it 3 stars, which isn't bad, and I was in the mood for some mindless fluff and this delivered exactly that.
@Stefibeth- I think a lot of us felt the same way about Beautiful Disaster - It was most definitely NOT exceptional writing or a spectacular story, or even a good story on a difficult subject. I did read it in one sitting, which made me rate it higher than I would have. The second book, Walking Disaster, tells the same story from his POV, with some extra in the beginning and at the end, so you can find out how the story ends if you're interested.
@WillyH19 - It really sucks about the narrator. This is one of my favorites, I absolutely adore Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - although I have yet to see the movie.
Worst - The Aviator's Wife by Melanie Benjamin. I have no idea why I couldn't get into this book but it was so boring.
