I have only read one in its entirety, E&P. I am slowly reading Lover at Last because I don't want to be done with the BDB. And I have Hyperbole and a Half on my Christmas list.

I feel like this should be called "the books a lot of people have heard of" or "books with pretty covers" awards. I doubt that every one who voted for these books had actually read them.

This is me too.
I also agree with Jacki in that I doubt that so many people have read all of these. Just like how I don't usually trust the average rating for YA series books on GR, becuase even before they're released all the teenyboppers are giving 5 stars because "ZOMG, it HAS to be like the best book EVAR!"

I am just pissed that Dr. Sleep won over NOS4A2 for best horror. Like Dr. Sleep was even scary (NOT!)

Really? Maybe it was just the right book at the right time for me but I loved it. One of my top favorites. I didn't love The Year of the Flood though and I put MaddAdam down.

I'm really mad at this list. I'm especially mad at the poetry choice. I read a lot of poetry and granted, I haven't read the JRR Tolkien one but it makes me angry because Aimless Love and Dog Songs were absolutely amazing.

Also, I thought Doctor Sleep wasn't even horror.

Also also, And the Mountains Echoed was not very good.

There should be some kind of restriction that allows you only to vote for a book if you read it. There's got to be some computer nerds out there that could write the code to block you from voting if you haven't read it.

I've read three and disagree with a lot of them, including one that I read.

I mean, Allegiant has only been out for a matter of weeks. It's all hype. That and it was terrible.
