What is(are) your favorite Christmas song(s)? What Christmas song(s) do you hate?

I prefer non traditional Christmas songs. My favorite is probably 'All I Want for Christmas is You' by Mariah Carey. I don't think I 'hate' any Christmas songs but I cannot stand the Muppets or Alvin & the Chipmunks versions of songs. SO ANNOYING.

My favorites are My Grownup Christmas List and Merry Christmas Darling.

There aren't too many I dislike. Like aro1589, I also don't like the chipmunks song. There's also one about a Christmas donkey that I've heard a few times. It's kind of annoying. And the one with the dogs barking to jingle bells.

I love the classical Christmas song! Carol of the bells is my ringtone right now.... well the Grinch is for H. I could listen to the classical ones all day.

But favorites - Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, and O'Come Emanuel always reminds me of my HS chorus. We rocked that every year!

Secular song - SIMPLY HAVING A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TIME!

I hate - Dominic the Donkey - WTF?!

My favorite is Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire...). I really love the old Christmas classics of that era.

I can't stand that Christmas Shoes song! I read somewhere that it's one of the most hated Christmas songs and many radio stations aren't playing it anymore, thank goodness!

Unpopular opinion, but I kind of hate all Christmas music. I will say that I heard Kelly Clarkson's recent Christmas single last night on The Voice and I didn't hate it. I also really love the music from The Nutcracker. But... that's it.

I like too many to list, but O Holy Night is one of my favorites. I'm with some of the other ladies and can't stand the Chipmunks songs. Dominic the Donkey is also horrible.

After five years in retail and the fact that I was in a Christmas music themed dance recital at the end of May my senior year of HS, I can safely answer no favorites in the Christmas music genre.

Faves - The Sleigh Ride instrumental, Baby It's Cold Outside (Glee version), and anything Transiberian Orchestra. I do love the first two glee albums too.

Hates - Christmas Shoes. The first time I heard it was the Christmas my stepmom was given 3-6 months to live. It was awful. I also don't like The donkey song, Feliz navidad, or the barking dogs.

Oh my God, I forgot about the barking dogs and cat meowing Christmas stuff. What is it about this time of year that makes that okay? It is not okay. Hahaha

Ok, so I'll confess that I do like Dominic the Donkey LOL...**hangs head in shame**

I grew up in an Italian-American family, so I understand all of the references in that song. I also love all of the old Neapolitan songs because that's what I grew up listening to at my grandmother's house.

My favorite is Santa Baby, the original by Eartha Kitt. I hate any Santa Baby knock off, especially Madonna's and the one that's on a store commercial right now. I also hate all Michael Buble Christmas songs. He ruined all the classics and his originals are awful too.

I haven't heard Dominic the Donkey, so I can't join in on that bandwagon!

I love Silver Bells and Carol of the Bells. Silent Night is great, too! My absolute favorite though is Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, but it has to be the very calm, smooth version.

I don't like I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. Working at Walgreens someone hid a CD player behind some product so we could have music playing without customers seeing it...well when they hit play they accidentally put it on song repeat, so I heard that song the whole time throughout an 8 hour shift. I finally found the dang thing after 7 hours and took it off repeat.
