Annoyance of the Day

Maybe it's just me being over-emotional at the moment, but I wanted to beat someone up this morning for something pretty ridiculous.  I went to make my morning coffee at the office.  We have those little tubs of creamer - plain, hazelnut, and french vanilla - all very well marked in individual boxes.  Thinking it was safe, I grabbed two out of the french vanilla box.  THEY WERE NOT FRENCH VANILLA!!!  *grumble*  I'm sorry, but you don't mix the creamer tubs when there is a box clearly stating "Hazelnut" right next to it.

What is your annoyance of the day?

Re: Annoyance of the Day

  • My pants are too tight on me. All that Thanksgiving cheating has finally caught up to me and now I'm very annoyed with myself.

Oh and I'm on week 3 of having no closet due to construction, so I have to get dressed by digging through my laundry basket. Hence wearing the pants that are too tight, I couldn't find pants that I didn't need to wear heels with.

Someone has been using my cream in the fridge at work.  Really people, if you are going to steal cream, at least put it back where you found it. It's obvious you're using it when it's not where I left it! I might have to out up a passive-aggressive sign.

In my head I would do this, instead I grab a paper towel and just take it out so I can shower. DH said he is going to say something because it grosses him out too!

Ohhhhh no no no. 1) Your house, so I think you need to let them know about these things, ESPECIALLY the hair in the drain. I mean, come on! It's just me and DH, but I always clean my hair out after I shower!

    2) Those towels are not clean. And you just do not put things that aren't clean in the dryer. I mean, that'd be like me throwing the kitchen towel I used to mop up in the oven last night straight into the dryer instead of throwing it over the open washer to dry out until I have a full load to wash AND DRY.

  • @islandmonkey8 - Ewwww.  Just ewwww.

You could also take it out and leave it in a bag with a note in her room to the extent of "My house, my rules.  Clean up after yourself.  Have a great day!"  At least, that's what my passive-aggressive self would do.

  • A coworker bought a Chevy camaro this summer. She lives on a hill in the city where they don't plow the streets. Today it sleeted and it's supposed to snow later. Every 10 minutes she is complaining to patients about how she is going to get home. Ummmm hello? You are over 50 and have lived in STL your whole life, you cannot bitch about your car not making it in the snow. You knew it wasn't going to be a smart decision. I'm all for having toys... But don't complain when it's your own fault.

  • DH & I applied for a student loan payment reduction and I faxed in the paperwork for both of us... his have been reduced and mine haven't.  I called and apparently they can't find a record of my paperwork and they can't just copy it from DH's, so he has to print out check stubs again and I have to fax it all in again.  Ugh.

I had a roommate in college that did stuff like that. My space was in the back and hers was closest to the door, and we shared a private bathroom. Once she left a huge circle of hair on the shower wall. The next day there was a bucket with bleach and her dirty underwear in it right when you walk in the door. So I left a note on her bed asking her to please clean it up. So gross!

  • @sg - ew! Wtf. Lazy and disgusting.

My annoyance today was at Toys R Us. I was Christmas shopping for my nieces and nephews and they were packed. Toward the registers there were long lines at each one and a woman in front of me in the walk way saw the lines and just stopped right in the center of the aisle, left her cart there and walked out.

It was a small space thanks to random displays and there were people behind me as well. I had to move her cart just for myself and the other people to be able to walk through. She even turned and looked at us before she left.

  • MIL is living with us currently after doing a bunch of f'ed up stuff that we learn more and more about everyday. DH confronted her earlier today to call her out and basically tell her she's an awful person, but she can continue living with us until Jan. 15... Then, I got home, made dinner, and had to sit across the table from her while DH was not feeling well and stayed in bed. I'm so sick of this woman and can't wait to get her outta my flipping house!
