This isn't even a flame free one, because I want to flame myself.

I am currently sickly obsessed with the song Story of My Life from One Direction. The boy band. Holy embarrassment.

What's yours?

Re: Confession

  • This isn't a confession, but more a s/o of songs...

I'm completely obsessed with Rihanna's "What Now".  Talk about a total IF crying song.  *It's not about IF, but the emotions/sentiments feel the same.

I will forever love my 90's boy bands.  DH made the mistake this past weekend of saying One Direction is exactly like N*SYNC and BSB.  I didn't talk to him for a few hours I was so mad.  I can't STAND One Direction.  I violently change the radio station when they come on.

Excuse me, but I don't see BSB in your list there.  Don't tell me you were an NSYNC girl.

You so need to check out the Onsies on Etsie.  They say, "Nick Carter may or may not be my father."  My best friend bought it for me, because the math matched up to when we saw them in concert and when I got my BFP.  They're flippin cute!

I was an NSYNC girl. I liked BSB just fine, but I preferred NSYNC. Um, hello? Justin Timberlake?!

And I have a feeling I need to make up some sort of will for my closet, or I'll have a bunch of GPers descending on my house and cat-fighting over it if I were to die.

I never considered Savage Garden a boy band.  Are they??? I swear I could listen to Affirmation (the whole album, not just the song) every day and not get sick of it.  Was that a FFC?

And now Story of My Life is stuck in my head and I, too, hate One Direction! Thanks, @amandaf6383

  • Nope. Nope. Nope.  Now I have Usher's "Confessions" song stuck in my head.  My confession:  I loved NSYNC, BSB, and 98 Degrees equally.

Honestly, I have no idea! They were never really lumped into the boy band category, but they'd technically fit in there, I think. Although..they don't dance, and I think they actually played their own instruments (guitar?). I'd be happy to remove them from that category; it'd make me feel less guilty for loving them so much.

  • I never considered Savage Garden a boy band.  And I listened to their album on repeat for several months.  I agree with Lucky, they did a lot of their own instrumentation and didn't dance.  Probably wrote their own songs, too.

  • Savage Garden is so not a boyband!  I'm pretty sure they also wrote their own songs along with playing their own instruments.  Also also, there were only two of them - totes not enough for a boyband.

....I was definitely an NSYNC girl though...

    ...and Savage Garden...

    ...but they're still not a boyband. :p

Then it is decided.  Final answer? Not a boy band :)  And I'm much happier now having Affirmation stuck in my head!

BSB are the one and only true and classice boy band for me! (I do like OD too). I was in elementary when NKOTB were popular so they are a classic for me too!
