What are your favorite party snacks?

I've been in complete denial about the holidays coming, which means I have no idea what I'm doing for my holiday party a week from this Saturday. Also, I develop party amnesia and EVERY TIME, I'm like, "Wait, what are foods that people eat?". But anyway, what are some of your favorite easy party snacks or appetizers to serve?

Re: What are your favorite party snacks?

  • I'm a huge fan of veggies and dip. I also really like fruit and veggie pizza. I'm a vegetarian, but I hear you can't really go wrong with meatballs, the meat eaters can comment on that.

  • I'm a big fan of Veggie trays.  I hover over it at parties.  I know when I do cockpot meatballs in bbq sauce they always go at my parties, no leftovers.
  • I make these bagel chip bites---they sound weird but bear with me:  smear a little cream cheese on each bagel chip (I like sea salt or rye) then top with green or red jalepeno jelly.  It's creamy, spicy, crunchy, salty and amazing.

  • I really like those mini sausages that you put in the crock pot with bbq sauce!  I will eat like 50 of those!  You could also do some pulled pork in the crock pot and serve it with the mini hawaiian bread buns.

A big hit at our parties is this awesome fruit dip.  It sounds funny, but it is soooo good!  It's whipped cream, whipped cream cheese, and marshmallow cream all mixed together.  We usually use strawberries, grapes, and pineapple as dippers.  I swear, the bowl is licked clean by the end of the night.

@frank139 - those bagel bites sound yummy!  I might try to make those soon :)

You also can't go wrong with some sort of bruschetta or crostini So easy too... Toasted bread with some sort of topping : )

  • Usually I head right for the veggie platters or chips and dip.
I know the last occasion I attended where party food was served, they had a cheese/meat/cracker platter...and I may have eaten my weight's worth of little tiny crackers by themselves. :)
