WBC 2013 Ideas?

It's that time again. Any new ideas to add to the mix?

Re: WBC 2013 Ideas?

  • I haven't been around as long as everyone else, so some of these may have already been done. Also I'm assuming this runs from Jan to March?

IHO a new year/resolutions, read a book about a character beginning a new phase/change/etc. in their life (By this I mean a character who is off to a fresh start, for example, after a divorce or is making a big move to a new city.)

Read a book written by an author who shares your first name (or use middle name/closest to your name if you have a unique name)

Read a book with a winter themed cover

IHO Valentine's Day, read a romance novel (any genre romance: historical romance, paranormal romance, romantic suspense, etc.)

Go to literature-map.com, type in your favorite author, and read a book by the author that is the closest to that author. (To make it more fun, we could do the author that is closest that you haven't already read a book by.)

  • like booknerd I haven't been around as long so these may have been done before

-read a memoir/autobiography/biography of someone born the same year as you
-read a book from an animal's POV
    -start a new series
-read a goodreads 2013 award winner
-read a book that a man in your life read and loved (s/o, dad, etc)

I think there was a suggestion for FBC read a twist on a classic that I liked but we didn't do.
