I swear to you, this thing is fantastic. The black and white cat in my siggy has not stopped (once she got over being scared of it), and she got very upset with me when I turned it off to move it into a different room. I mean, she was hopping up on her hind legs like a puppy trying to get it out of my hands and mewling at me. She's 9! Even the 15 year old enjoyed it.

We'll see how long it takes until she breaks it.

Would it be noisy on a hardwood floor?

I'm always trying to find things to entertain my sloth cat, but so many motorized things get really loud when they're on a hard surface, and it ends up just annoying everyone, including the cats.

I may have to get one of these. My cat needs something to do. He just lays there. He has to be bored. I recently bought him a small bed to sleep in because he's always laying on the hard floor all the time. He refuses to use it. Drives me nuts. I saw him staring at it the other day. My husband saw him stick one paw in the bed and then when he saw my husband he removed his paw and walked away. Grrr.

Lol!!!

We have two cats. Our scaredy cat would probably be terrified of it. And our overweight cat would probably just stare at it while lounging on the floor next to it!

My cats would laugh in my face if I bought that for them. They much prefer to use each other for cat toys.

We've tried cat toys similar to that before and unfortunately for our bunch it only holds their attention for a few min at best and then is ignored. Like booneybear our cats think each other are the best cat toys!

It's noisy, but I think it's meant to be squeaky to sound mouse-like. It has a ball on the little whipping thing that clacks when Tessa pounces it. I don't leave it on all the time, just until she gets tired and starts sitting on it.

See I would love to get our cats this. The problem is, the older cat would just watch it. The kitten would try to bring it to me since somehow DH has her playing fetch now. All she does is bring me toys to throw.

That is so cute. My 15 year old, Tommy, used to bring me milk rings to throw but he's pretty mellow now. Tessa is 9 and has never fully outgrown kittenhood, and I love it. People will give us cat toys for the three cats, but honestly, they're for Tessa. She's the only one who plays. Tommy has a large, creepy gray mouse that is worn out that he carries around, but only when nobody can see him, like at night or when we're not home. He'll come howling into the bedroom, but his howl is muffled until he drops it. Cracks me up every time even though he is probably waking DH up, too. I get out of bed in the morning and find it next to my slippers or near the foot of the bed. He's awesome. It's the only toy Tessa never messes with.
