  Super exciting over here...I bought him skip-bo and a gift card because he needs new jeans badly....

  
  

  Usually we only do small gifts and then "go away for a weekend" as our real gift to each other...but there's no time or money to do that this year...so a gift card will have to do.

  This year, I got H a vintage Detroit Red Wings sweatshirt (one of his favorite hockey teams, and he pointed out this sweatshirt specifically but didn't want to spend the money on it... So I did it for him when I saw it go on sale). I also got him a sleep mask because he had mentioned wanting to get one and some new memory foam slippers. And I'll be getting him a video game he wants too.

  I got H some stuff for his truck. A couple of shirts, a new coffee mug, a few books, some new jeans, and some bullets he wanted.

  We aren't exchanging this year but usually I get him clothes, DVDs, books, whatever. I always stuff his stocking with gift cards to places like Taco Bell or Dunkin Donuts because he would spend his entire paycheck at those places if I let him. We're on a strict budget for those things so when I give him the gift cards, he doesn't feel as bad going there every day for a week lol
