What gift are you most excited for?
Lets keep the boards moving!
What gift are you most excited to give and/or receive?
I am always excited for anything for dd. some of the good ones will be the big Anna doll from Frozen and smaller frozen dolls. She is really into Wizard of oz so she's getting the DVD and I know she will love that!
Also one of dh's. I mainly got him clothes which isn't all that exciting. But he is obsessed with IHOP butter pecan syrup. We've tried asking if they sell it and haven't found it. He's tried others but doesn't love them. I found some IHOP ones on eBay. I have no idea when or where it was actually sold. But scooped a bottle up. I hope it doesn't kill him, haha! But he is going to be SO excited! It's totally something he will love and a complete surprise so that is the best!
I really won't be getting many gifts. We don't exchange with many. I asked dh to get me a coat but I'm not sure if it will fit.
Re: What gift are you most excited for?
For the kids, I'm excited to give them their tickets to Disney on Ice, I think they're going to love it. I asked Brian to get me new slippers and since mine are falling apart, I'm really looking forward to that gift!! EDIT: i just realized the slippers are for my birthday from brian, the lines between christmas & my birthday always get blurred. Not sure what I'll be receiving for Christmas from my parents and IL's, so I guess it will be a nice surprise whatever it is!
Jake - 1.15.08
Liam - 5.17.11
I am also excited to give EJ her american dolls!
I have no idea what I will be receiving. First time in a long while that has happened! should be fun!
I always love watching the kids open presents and it will be extra special with my aunt and uncle joining us for Christmas morning this year.
DH had my presents before Thanksgiving and he seemed really pleased with his choices, so I'm very curious to see what they are...I didn't have any great ideas outside of my amazon list, so we'll see!
Logan is getting a kitchen, which he should be thrilled about. Not quite sure where we'll put it yet....
And because I'm old and practical suddenly, I'm looking forward to getting some shirts from
The Gap I picked out.
I told Steve I want my present to be a new fridge for the lake, so I don't expect much in the way of gifts this year.
I got him a Soda Stream, and I'm hoping he likes it. We used to have seltzer delivered to the house, and they stopped doing it, so I have dreams that this will be an adequate replacement for that.
Like Lisa, DH is receiving a Soda Stream from the boys, so that will hopefully be a nice replacement for his can habit.
We got Gavin a really nice remote controlled car, and I KNOW DH is the most excited about it. Conall appreciates anything he gets, so it will be fun to watch him open everything. And Sean will love the boxes and paper more tham the actual gufts.
I think my parents got me a Keurig (or at least a gift card for one), for which I'm very excited about. Otherwise, I'm not expecting anything more - for me, it's really all about the kids.
My three sons!
I am really just excited to watch the kids open everything because they are both so excited this year. Mason keeps asking for a cash register, so I know he'll love that. He also started asking for a Captain America iPad. I have no idea where he got this idea from, but I ended up buying the boys a LeapPad, so I bought a blue gel skin for it and a Captain America decal to put on the gel skin, so hopefully that passes! Garrett was obsessed with our toy grocery cart, but it broke a while ago because it was plastic and pretty cheap, so we got him the Melissa & Doug one and I know he'll love it.
For DH, I am excited for him to open his beer brewing kit. He didn't ask for it, but he has mentioned wanting one in the past, so I am hoping he is surprised.
For me, I didn't really ask for anything this year, but I'll be happy with whatever I get because I just enjoy opening gifts!
DD--I think she will love everything--but I think the barbie RV will be #1.
We also got the kids plasma cars to ride in the basement (perks of an unfinished basement. They didn't ask for them (and likely don't know what they are) but I think the will have a blast on them.
For DH--the kids got him fireplace tools, but Brinley already spilled the beans. I got him new scent blocker hunting clothes--which I hope I did a good job picking out.
My three sons!
The girls got DH copper mugs for Moscow Mules...the one specialty glass missing in our collection!
