QOTD 12/16

Do you watch any of the Winter Olympics? What do you watch? What do you think is the most ridiculous event?

Re: QOTD 12/16

  • Nope.  I think Chad like the skiing, though.  All that stuff makes me nervous!

  • I looooove figure skating! I don't bother watching much besides that, though. Most ridiculous event? Curling!

  • I have such a soft spot in my heart for curling. I love how ridiculous it is!

I will watch just about anything. I'm a big hockey fan and I like snowboarding too.

  • I'm OBSESSED with the Olympics!
I'll watch any event that's on! I'm so excited for Feb so I can feed my Olympics addiction!

Also, I'm oddly fascinated by Curling lol. It seems like it takes some serious skills to move a big rock across the ice and onto a small target using only brooms.

  • Like Nic, I am obesessed with the Olympics. Of course, being Canadian, I must watch all the hockey. I love it all. I live for figure skating and luge/skeleton. I will not be sleeping the entire 2 weeks that it's on.

  • I like to watch figure skating.  If I'm going to watch winter sports I'll watch the X-games over olympics.

The first time I saw curling I laughed because I couldn't believe it was a real sport.  Now I watch it because I get a kick out of it.

  • Not so much in more recent years. As a kid, I couldn't get enough of figure skating. And as lame as it is, one of my favorite video games as a kid was for the winter olympics in Lillehammer. (Closest I get to being in a bobsled. Haha)

I do have to agree with everyone's sentiments on curling though.

  • Olympic fanatic over here!!!  Seriously so obsessed.  I love figure skating most, but I will watch anything, even curling (which is the most ridiculous! haha)

  • I love the Olympics, but I usually get bored of it as it goes on, ha. But I love figure skating if I can catch it, and my husband loves hockey so we see a lot of that.

  • I like the bobsled and luge/skeleton, but they scare the crap out of me at the same time. They make me so nervous!

I also agree that curling is pretty ridiculous. DH wants to try it soo bad and it cracks me up!
  • I'm not huge into them anymore.  I used to live for Women's Figure Skating.  After high school, I lost interest.  I'll watch it if I catch it on though.  I have never really thought of the most ridiculous event.
  • I love figure skating!! I prefer the women's and couples over men's, but I still will watch men's! I don't mind the snowboarding/skiing etc. but skating is the one I really want to watch! I think curling is weird too, but I've never really watched!
