WWYD?

Some of you may remember that I am throwing a big 30th Gatsby themed birthday party for myself :)  It's going to be on March 1 and I am wondering when I should send out the invitations.  Since it's a themed party, I'm thinking I need to give the guests a little bit of time to look for 1920's attire.  Is beginning of January too soon?  We are also inviting OOT guests.

Re: WWYD?

  • I don't think so, given the OOT guests and theme.  Can't wait to see some pics from that party!!

  • I would definitely wait until the craziness of the holidays has passed. But, I think mid-late January would be appropriate. It gives people plenty of time to plan.

  • I love this theme, I might have to steal it.  Are you thinking of doing it early Jan, because OOT people will be in town for the holidays?  If not I would hold off until mid to late Jan to give people time to plan travel.

  • I'd wait until mid-January, if only to avoid it getting mixed up in the holiday cards.  Things get lost this time of year!

  • I agree with PPs that after the holiday stuff dies down would be best...so probably mid Jan.

  • I was thinking early January so it's give people a little less than 2 months to figure it out, but I think I'll take y'alls advice and wait til the 2nd or 3rd week of January.  Thanks!

  • I would wait until mid January. You don't want invitations to get mixed in with leftover holiday cards.
  • I say mid January as we'll, let some of the holiday mess get put away so it doesn't get lost or misplaced.
  • My vote is for mid January too for the same reasons that everyone else gave.
