  • LOL Aggie! Rockin the count downs today. No I am not even close to being ready for Christmas. My tree is up but undecorated. I have 6 more types of cookies to be made. And I still have to wrap gifts before this weekend, since we are celebrating Christmas on the 21st when my sister is in town. Plus I have to finsih H shopping/wrapping. Going to Mexico and getting sick messed with my Christmas schedule!

JLQ: You asked what cookies I made yesterday. So far Cutouts, Fig, Sesame Seed, Almond Paste, Gingerbread, Molasse, and Chocolate Balls. Remaining Mexican Wedding, Oatmeal Rasin, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Blossoms, and M&M's. I should be done Thursday night!

Echo: Glad that you were able to find a diet that works for you and H. Can you guys go out to eat? I imagine it is tough. I wouldn't be sble to survive with out going out to eat. H and I eat out a lot because of our schedules. And the fact a lot of times I just don't feel like cooking when I get home from work!

  • haha well no one else was posting so I got bored and began entertaining myself :P

This year I have been on top of it when it comes to family gifts, but we have slacked with decorating and baking.  I blame that on the shorter time between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The gifts I had mostly taken care of before Thanksgiving which was really nice.

I totally hear you on being tired when you come home from work and not wanting to cook.  I don't know how you get your baking in for that very reason.  When I come home I am spent.

  • I made a crockpot meal this weekend that was yummy. Fake Out Take Out Beef and Broccoli. The same girl gave me a Sesame Chicken recipe for the crockpot as well. I can't wait to try that one. The baking just gets done. I do a lor of it on auto-pilot and my H helps! He is clean up and runs the ovens so I can keep two sheets in the oven at all time. He is so helpful! It really isn't that bad I promise. My sister told me she made 17 different type of cookies and is bring a bunch home with her. I am kind of bummed by this because I feel like cookies are my thing. O well! I will bring some home on Christmas day she can cover before Christmas.

  • You are quite the baker degrea that is no doubt!  Sorry your sister is sorta stepping on your toes.  I know how that can feel.  You can bet everyone will be looking for your cookies though!

And I saw your post about the crockpot beef and broccoli I am going to have to try that.  That is one of H's favorite Chinese meals and crockpot is always a win!

  • Hi.
I'm training day shift this week, 7am-3:30pm, so I won't be around much.

I'm not ready for Christmas. I decorated and got almost all my shopping done, I'm just not in the Christmas mood. I'm annoyed because we always have to go to DH's grandparents for Christmas day and my niece&nephew are leaving my mom's CHristmas Eve at 11, and not coming back until Christmas day at 11, so I won't even get any time with them. And I know DH won't let us stay late at my mom's. Heaven forbid we miss the start of dinner at his grandparents. It really pisses me off! I'm thinking of just staying at my mom's myself and letting him go by himself. We have to plan every freaking holiday around his damn family while mine just get shoved in. That's not how it should go.

Degrea - Awesome on the cookies! I'm planning to make choc. chip, peanut butter blossoms, monster cookies (by request, not a normal Christmas cookie), and maybe the ones where you put the tiny reesse cup down in it.

Aggie - 87 days doesn't seem like that long at all until Australia!! I'm super jealous.

  • JLQ ITS NOTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEK I AM EXCITED CANT YOU SEE.

ok maybe I have had to much drp this afternoon :P

How is training going jlq? I hope you are enjoying it.  And Holidays can really stink with family.  I think that is one thing that has been easier living far away that and planning really far in advance.  I have already discussed next Christmas and Thanksgiving with H.

  • My sil was here all day so no time to play!!

Degrea - we go out but it's hard. Thankfully I can still eat grains/gluten and tolerate it mostly ok unless I overdo it. Dh isn't as lucky so he mostly sticks to the meat and potato type dishes. We don't go out very often though so it's ok.

2 weeks till New Years means 2 weeks till my due date!! Which I knew this morning but holy cannoli bat man!! I really cannot wait but at the same time I feel like it'll be forever. I feel like it could happen any day but that's a dream I'm living lol.
