WTF self - grabbing the hot flat iron on the iron side was DUMB!  And the fact it took a few seconds to register is just plain stupid.  I'm pretty sure I burnt my thumb print off...

    Is it bad that I just want to stay in my bubble of a house until Christmas is over so that everyone is well during the holiday? There's no point to any of that though because A brings home everything. They were sick last Easter, had colds on Thanksgiving (well M did), so I'm crossing my fingers we can have one holiday where I'm not wiping noses or giving Motrin.
