Hi ladies,
Thank you ladies for all your T&p's! Also a big thank you to luckyangel for informing the board. I was just monitored and everything looked great. So yes, a kidney infection. That was left field for me because I try to drink 100oz of water daily. I think it might've happened when I got a cold because it did become difficult to drink fluids. I've had Braxton hicks but they were sporadic. Yesterday around lunch time, I felt lower cramping and back back pain. I walked around and it would lessen but not enough. A few hours later, I realized that the pain was still there so I called L&D and told them my symptoms. They said to come in because I was so far along. It was such a blur. One minute I'm talking to the nurse and next thing I know I'm getting an IV, getting swabbed, getting my cervix checked, hooked to monitors and given an injection to stop contractions. I was shaking so hard! Eventually tests came back and I wasn't going into labor! Doctor decided to keep me overnight for observation and to administer antibiotics. She's now waiting for high-risk doctor to see if I could have oral meds instead of daily antibiotics through IV. That would suck. Anything for the babies but man that would suck. She said they will release me in a few hours. Sorry so long and thank you again!
Oh one more thing, that steroid shot, yeah....that's no joke! Have to come back for 2nd dose. Ugh, I'll just suck it up for my munchkins.
