Tis the season

Don't forget to tip your elevator operator!

Re: Tis the season

  • That one made me laugh, though Steve's best friend growing up actually lived in a building that had an elevator operator.

But in Pittsburgh? The only time I've ever seen them are really busy days at the zoo and at Heinz Hall. I don't frequent either place enough to give them tips.

The building Steve's mom lives in now sends out suggested tip brochures in early December. If she followed them to a T, she would have to give out almost $1,000 in tips for the building workers. That's nuts!

  • OMG I was just reading that on my phone thinking - $25-75 for each daycare staff member - holy, I am certainly the low end!!

  • Woah.... agree about daycare. I make up a basket of goodies for each to take one and it usually is something that is a dollar a staffer. With 25 staffers at $25 each..... that is probably more than I spent on DH and maybe even DD. hahaha.
