Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. So I work for my parents out of their home. It is a legit business in which my step dad has owned for over 25 years and is completely operated by family. Since it is all done out of my parents home I get to bring LO with me to work everyday which is such a blessing. LO will be 3 months old on Tuesday (Christmas Eve) and has only had 1 set of shots (at 2 months).
Now to the point of all this: my stepdad was sick yesterday running a mild fever lower than 100.5 and was only in the house 2 hours before he left to go to work. Today he wakes up with a higher fever so he goes to the dr to find out he has the flu. I decided I would be off the rest of the week to keep LO at home including today. My mom seemed slightly annoyed since this is our busiest time of year and even said how LO had already been exposed which I can completely understand. However my thinking is the less exposure the better and now that we know for sure what he has and my step dad will be home all day today and tomorrow I think it would be best for us to stay home. Also my stepdad promised to stay in his room BUt that is directly across the hall from the babies room (my parents converted a guest room into a nursery for LO and my niece).
So did I do the right thing or am I overreacting?

Edit: I think its silly if your mom is mad about you missing out on two days of work....does she realize if your LO got sick that you'd probably be out of work for longer taking care of him at home?!?
