Re: JCP from 1990

  • Oh my gosh!  I think I had that hat in the first picture!  and I wore it with my stirrup pants   L-)

I remember my mom and I puffy painting Christmas sweatshirts for us lol.....things didn't seem so dorky back then.

In my defense, I was only 9 years old.  That's a good defense right?

  • LOL at the stonewashed overalls and leather jackets with massive shoulder pads!
  • Hahaha!!! I think I blocked out just how bad things really were back then.

Those TMNT pjs are back though! The only acceptable thing to make a reappearance!

I recently made DH throw away his circa 1990's leather jacket.  It was AWFUL.   He really fought me on it because "his parents paid a lot of money for it".

Are we married to the same man?

  • So in defense of the class of 94 (we would have been h.s. freshmen), JC Penney has never been cool.  The overalls for men and the stirrup pant unitard are pretty amazing though.

  • Latch hook kits! I loved those - I remember doing one with a black Wesite with a red bow around his neck.

    Those days were so innocent...

    I think I had a candy cane.
  • I did a latch hook in sewing class of a horse for my BFF.  I gave the horse a blue eye because her horse had blue eyes.  My sewing teacher ridiculed me and told me it was awful because horses don't have blue eyes!    She also made fun of the monkey pillow I made.   I think that is why to this day, I don't as much sew on a button if it falls off.   Also, this teacher is a member at the new church I've been going to.   I see her and think unChristian things of her.   ;)

We pastors have counseling hours for that.
    ;)

  • LOL Dena!   I'll keep that in mind!
