    Ditto!

Tonight we may go to the movies with dd.

Dd has gymnastics and soccer tomorrow and I go to Zumba. Probably will make some cookies tomorrow and clean.

Sunday we will grocery shop which includes everything for hosting Christmas Eve. We have a play date with a friend and her daughter in the afternoon. More cleaning. I'm waiting on 1 last shipped item for dd and I can finish wrapping her stuff this weekend.

  • I think I'll be doing the same!  Tomorrow my mom is coming over to bake sugar cookies with the boys.   And I need to make my thumbprints.

Tonight we're going to make our Sam's run to get the ham and some other things for Christmas Eve dinner.

We may go to the Kennywood lights thing, if it's not raining.  It will be warm enough to be outside though.

I probably won't clean until Monday when kid 1 is at school and kid 2 is at daycare.
  • Tonight we have a Christmas/Housewarming party.

The rest of the weekend is wrap, clean, some last minute shopping for random things.  We may also go to Kennywood's holiday lights.  I also want to take the kids to get their mall Santa pics, but I am kind of dreading that.

  • Ladies--- My mom, Madi and I went to the light a few weekends ago.... we really enjoyed. And is was FREEZING. So the change in weather would be perfect. They had some rides open etc. We went to Olgebay last year and I thought Kennywood was much nicer. Have fun.

Oh Amber I remember those thumbprints from Mae's cookie party. Yum.

  • we have 3 "events" this weekend.  so we are just running across the region visiting friends and family! It will be exhausting, but well worth the effort.
  • Wrapping, grocery and get caught up on dishes/laundry. My parents and aunt & uncle come Sunday, so Sunday night will be Xmas with my aunt & uncle. Thankfully our cleaning person came this past week, so I just need to straighten up and not clean.

Maybe make cutout cookies with the kids on Sunday if I get the wrapping done by Saturday night.

  • Tonight I'm working with the kids to make handprint wreaths for my sister. We did trees for my parents and MIL a few weeks ago.  After they go to bed I want to finish wrapping presents.

Tomorrow we're meeting with my high school BFFs and their kids.

Sunday I need to go grocery shopping for Christmas dinner. We're meeting friends at Oglebay later in the day.

  • I'm taking the kids to a local toy shop for a visit with Santa at some point. A $10 donation and photos emailed directly to you from the iPad they take them with? Yes, thank you very much!

My shopping is done done done. I just have to wrap kid #3s gifts when everyone else is in bed, and then I'm done with that. Otherwise, I just have to figure out our Christmas dinner and clean, as usual.

I'll be working Monday and Tuesday, then off the rest of the week. #2 and #3 will be at daycare Mon and Fri, but I plan to take #1 and #2 to an afternoon movie on Friday.

    Enjoy the season, everyone!

Can we talk about that.... when we go to the mall and have pics.... why can't they offer a pacakge anymore without the $10 shuttefly gift card. I understand you have some partnership, but do I want to pay $21 for 2- 4x6 pics and $10 shutterfly card? Um no. I will pay $11 and pass on giftcard. And I didn't even have any issue with my christmas cards from shuterfly this year. Ha.
  • Caron, I keep telling DH that once he hits 60, he gets to grow his beard. With the beautiful full head of white hair his Dad has, DH could have a very lucrative retirement playing Santa, I figure.

And the Mall is why I haven't brought the boys to see Santa yet - I'd like a group photo of them, obviously, but also individual ones - that could get pricey at the Mall!

I heard that "real" Santas can make big money at Christmas time. I think it's definitely a decent income in retirement if you have the right look :)

  • I'm so glad our mall Santa lets us take our own pics. While you are in line they ask if you want their pics or not. If you say no they leave you alone and I'm free to snap away. I bring my good DSLR camera and get nice pics. Santa even commented this year on my professional camera, haha!!
