CD29- I think I'm about to O. I hope. Maybe..

Any plans for testing?
OPKs still. I took one earlier and it was *almost* positive. I'll try another one later.

Have you done anything different?
nope.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC?
I'm bummed that we are at the year mark. It was Christmas morning last year that DH said he was ready to try.

Not today.

I'm off Christmas Eve and Christmas this year. And New Year's Day.

Yes! I am so excited for this!

Wrapped. I only recently (in the last week) heard about people not getting wrapped presents from Santa.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? see above.....I am excited to be going home tomorrow! I'm hoping it will keep my mind off of things going on.

Will your presents be wrapped or unwrapped from Santa? Unwrapped. Our presents to them will be wrapped, but I am not patient enough to do all of them!

Where are you in your cycle? CD 18

Any plans for testing? Just started 2WW and trying to put it out of my mind.

Have you done anything different? Not really. I meant to start OPKs this cycle but forgot.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? DH got summoned for a business trip at the literal last minute and his job while at the location is actually just to do a lot of hand holding and reassuring while the company's vendors do the actual fixing. There is literally nothing else for him to do. I HATE HATE HATE being home by myself so I'm super annoyed with his boss right now.

QOTD: How much time do you get off for Christmas/ New Years? I get Christmas Eve and Christmas day off. We're closing early on NYE so I'll be out at 8pm and have New Years Day off too.

CBHQ: Will you "play" Santa for your kids? Will your presents be wrapped or unwrapped from Santa? I grew up with my Grandpa playing Santa and DH grew up with a close family friend doing it. I'd like to do something similar but we haven't given it a ton of thought or discussion yet. There will absolutely be presents from Santa, though. Even though my sisters are all in their 20s and I'm going on 30, my parents still wrap little presents from Santa for us every year.

Any plans for testing? Saturday, if no AF

Have you done anything different? Femara! And O'ing!

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? Christmas next week! Yay!

Thoughts, questions, concerns? Not today. Waiting for Saturday and/or AF. If this cycle didn't work I want to get moving with the next.

QOTD: How much time do you get off for Christmas/ New Years? They give us half of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. I took the rest of Christmas Eve off because I want time to prepare for our first time hosting Christmas Day.

CBHQ: Will you "play" Santa for your kids? Will your presents be wrapped or unwrapped from Santa? Yes. 100% yes. I will find someone to play Santa for real, have them come over late at night in a costume and "deliver" the gifts and record it all "secretly" for our kids. My parents did this to us and it is one of my favorite memories. Belief in Santa for me was and really is more then just a child's thing. It's belief in the joy and happiness that this time of year brings. Even when bad things happen now, Christmas is happy for me and that means a belief in Santa.

Oh, and wrapped because that's how it works. But I will have special paper that is from Santa so they're not like "mommy, why does Santa use the same paper as you and daddy do?"

Where are you in your cycle? 2 DPO

Any plans for testing? If no success this month, then yes, def next month for sure. (already planned this)

Have you done anything different? switched positions. H has been consuming large amounts of celery as that supposedly helps with certain things. other than that, nothing else - charting and taking OPKs like we have the last few months

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? Other than the frustrations of no success with TTC, everything else has been a-okay. I had my company christmas party tonight though, so that might have something do with it

Will your presents be wrapped or unwrapped from Santa? Wrapped. Giving unwrapped presents is lame.

Sooo funny you said this; I totally pulled this on my mom! I got to an age where I noticed the gifts from her and the gifts from Santa were wrapped in the same papers. So after her "oh shit!" moment on that one, it wasn't too many years after that I noticed "Mommy, you and Santa have the same handwriting!" Hahaha!! And so, forever after, my mom had to buy separate Santa paper and write all the labels with her right hand (she's a leftie) so they'd look different. Hehe!

Bad: I am so done with this cycle but have been riding it out since its basically the first cycle off BCP so have been wanting to let my hormones figure themselves out before calling the doctor. Will call the doctor soon though and am really hoping my insurance covers my old doctor that I used last time I lived in MT. I was so hoping I’d be lucky and have a few “normal” cycles before they got wonky but oh well. I shouldn’t be surprised since my cycles used to be sort of random before BC just never this long.

Good: I am so excited to finally spend a Christmas with DH, plus I think we might finally have a honeymoon plan – Vegas in February, not where we really want to go but it’ll be warm, cheaper, and I’ll get to see my parents since my dad has a convention there every year. Plus DH’s friend said he’d house sit for us which is a major score! Our dream vacation is the UK but we’ll have to save up and do that in a few years.

I’m only working Monday and Tuesday next week and my friend (who I nanny for) hasn’t given me her schedule for New Year’s week. It’ll be really nice since usually at this time of the year I’m working overtime to compensate for the short weeks.

As in do presents and eating the cookies and milk then yes but not dress up.

Will your presents be wrapped or unwrapped from Santa?

Definitely wrapped, the best part of presents is the mystery and upwrapping.

While it can take awhile for your body to readjust, I think the general rule of thumb is once you hit 60 days, it's time to call the doctor. Hope your insurance covers the doctor you like and that your body will start cooperating soon!

Ditto this, and have you been testing with an HPT once per week, just in case? That's the other recommendation, especially if you're not charting in any way, so you won't know if you've O'd at any point. GL!

Look at you, getting all fancy with typing/printing labels! I'm sure we'll probably end up having one parent write all the tags from us, and the other write all the tags from Santa, haha! (My mom didn't have that option, since she and my dad were divorced :P - Debbie Downer moment of the day!)

Well, the 100mg of Clomid didn't work, so my RE had me start 150mg last Friday. Hopefully we'll see some follicle growth on Monday.

Just not feeling too hopeful at the moment. I've been super moody with this last round of Clomid and I'm trying so hard not to turn into bitchzilla.

We will have a half day on Christmas Eve, off on Christmas. We have New Years off and hopefully we'll be off New Years Eve off too, but may have to work a half day.

CBHQ: Will you "play" Santa for your kids?

For my stepdaughters, we just have their presents from Santa. On the years we have them, I like to have the cookies and milk out, but we don't have anyone dress up.

Will your presents be wrapped or unwrapped from Santa?

Always wrapped. And we make sure to make the handwriting look different. My 7 year old stepdaughter is way too smart to let that slip by!

Any plans for testing? I went in for ultrasound monitoring this morning after taking letrozole cd3-7...and nothing. Going back on Monday to see if any follicles have grown. So dissappointing after responding so well last cycle. Feel super sad this morning.

Have you done anything different? Letrozole, exercising more

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? My dog rolled in her own shit this morning...right before I needed to shower for my appointment. It's too cold outside to wash her off outside so she got a shower and I had to clean my bathroom due to all of her fur (golden retriever). ugh.

Will your presents be wrapped or unwrapped from Santa? Wrapped! I had no idea people don't actually wrap presents! My mom was always really good about writing with her left hand so the hand writing didn't look at all similar and she always made it a point to tell us she was leaving out her wrapping paper for Santa so she didn't have to keep a secret stash.

I O'd on letrozole at CD21 this cycle. No where near it at CD 10. PLENTY of hope left. When did you O last cycle?

@ystaalenburg - I did three rounds of Clomid (50, 100, then 150) each cycle didn't work and ended with provera. I just did letrozole/femara this round and O'd at CD 21. If I hadn't O'd this time, we would have moved on to IUI/injects. We'll do a couple more rounds of this, if no BFP it'll be injects/IUI. Did you take provera after the Clomid failed, or did you get a second round in the same cycle?

I started the second round in the same cycle. I'm wondering if I don't respond, will the RE put me on Provera to start a new cycle and then try Femara... I don't mind, but I hope he doesn't make me wait until CD60 to start Provera.

I started the second round in the same cycle. I'm wondering if I don't respond, will the RE put me on Provera to start a new cycle and then try Femara... I don't mind, but I hope he doesn't make me wait until CD60 to start Provera.

If he sees no response to the Clomid, I don't see why he would wait til CD 60 to prescribe provera. GL though! I hope the Clomid works!

I took my trigger shot on CD 12 last cycle and IUI on CD 14. I had a follie measuring 26 last time on CD 12 so we were hoping I'd show good enough growth by today (CD 10) to trigger Sunday and then IUI on Tuesday but it doesn't look like that'll be happening. Hoping to see some change between now and Monday!

Yes I have been testing a lot, which is another reason I'm so over this cycle as I haven't ordered any cheapies yet so am down to my digitals. My DH keeps rolling his eyes whenever I test because both of us are pretty convinced it'll take us a while to get pregnant. Plus without temping/charting I know I'm pretty in the dark. I've been planning on calling the doctor next Monday and picking up a basal thermometer this weekend (totally spaced it today when I went to the store).

Where are you in your cycle? CD 19

Any plans for testing? Just started my OPKs because I think for the past two cycles, I O'ed later than I was testing.

Have you done anything different? Trying to time things better. Also be more regular with ST and not count any days out.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? Just waiting to O. Also, I HATE when my body tries to wake me up too early and I don't get up right away and I think it's screwing with my temping. But good - DH and I are trying to keep ST interesting.
