in shock... I'm so moved
DH and I got home and saw 3 packages outside our front door. One was from my parents, one from DH for me, and one mystery gift from Amazon addressed to DD. We looked everywhere on the box for who sent it. When I opened it up I found it was from my brother. I am shocked and extremely moved by this. It brought tears to my eyes.
The reason why this is so huge is because my brother stopped talking to my parents and I after a family fallout in 2009. I got married and he said nothing, not even a card. It was the same for when I had DD. I continued to send him cards for his birthday and Christmas despite everything. I think seeing the pictures of DD, the birth announcement and now our family Christmas picture, have softened him a little. This is definitely a step in the right direction. I hope one day soon DD will be able to meet her Uncle K
