UO

As much as I'm wanting to live in the Duck Dynasty thread (I really love how you ladies can have conversations/debates, with such opposing views, and at the same time be so respectful.) I actually have one, and it's the same one I keep forgetting week after week.

Being set in December should not be the only criteria to being considered a 'Holiday' movie.  In other words:  If a movie could occur at any other time of the year, or you can remove the words Holiday, or Christmas, or whatever, from the major plot points, and the movie make just as much sense/doesn't change much- this is not a Holiday movie.

The music is absolutely the best part! Haha. Am I the only one who's noticed that at the end of it now, when they're showing it on TV, that the very end of "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing" gets cut off?? The veerrrry end of it was always my absolute favorite, because they'd sing the last few words up really high, and now I never get to hear it!

  • I don't like soda.  There, I said it. It doesn't quench my thirst and the bubbles tickle my tongue and throat.  I drink it MAYBE once or twice a year just to get the flavor, but it would never be my drink of choice.

  • I used to drink soda all the time up until a few years ago.  Now I just use it as a mixer for other things...mainly alcohol.  I actually think both regular and "diet" soda are too sweet.

  • Okay, I rarely have one but I have one today.

    I hate sneaker/running shoe style heels/wedges.

I know they're in style.  I know other people LOVE them, but I think they are hideous and in 3 yrs people are going ot look back and think "what was I thinking!".

Call me boring, I call myself classic.

There, I said it.  I feel better.

I'm so glad I have no idea what this kind of shoe looks like. It sounds horrible. Do people really wear sneakers with heels???

I agree completely on this one. I work with someone who wears them all the time. I don't get it. I don't think they are cute. At all!

  • My UO is that I didn't think The Hunger Games was that great of a book. I didn't even finish the series after book 1 since I didn't want to pay that much for a book I probably wouldn't enjoy when I could spend it on one I had a better chance of liking.

  • I....can't....sadness....(and Harry Potter is much better than Hunger Games, but they are BOTH excellent series).

I don't understand the obsession with Game of Thrones.  I was not impressed with the episodes I have partially seen with DH.

Game of Thrones isn't something you can partially watch and expect to understand. It's incredibly complex and if you're not fully invested, it's easy to lose track and lose interest.

Not being snarky at all. This is just coming from someone who loves it but understands that it's not everyone's cup of tea. :)

I just finished the first book and thought it was great. So similar to the movie, which usually I would be pretty bummed about a movie after reading the book, but I thought it was exactly like it. Icant wait to read the next two. I bought all three last week after watching Catching Fire. Never read harry potter... Lol and never will most likely....
