XP from FB - failed 1 hour test
So I failed the one hour. And almost threw up on the way to the OB, and I definitely ugly cried when I was told. And I'm still upset and crying off and on. I was told I have to do the 3 hour on Thursday, and I begged if there was ANY other way to do it. Was told no, scheduled the appt, walked the to car, started hyperventilating, and threw up. Ugh.
The OB I saw today is not my regular OB, and she's a bitch. I saw her once before and hated her then, and I hate her now. She has NO bedside manner. (I'm getting upset even WRITING about this now.) I tried to ask her about some questions I have and she blew me off. Not ok.
My draw was 155. Not even close. I don't feel good about this. And this is a bratty whine and SUCH a FWP, but we're going away to Cancun on Friday. If I fail the 3 hour, call the vacation ruined.

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

My ob doesn't do the 1 hour because so many people fail. So hopefully you will still pass the 3 hour.
The only other option to not taking the test is to act as if you have gestational diabetes GD. So that means the GD diet and testing blood sugars about 5 times a day. If it were me, I would take the test.
Being dx with GD is rough. I was very upset for about two weeks. But the good news is that you absolutely can still have a healthy baby and mom if you follow the doctors orders and keep your blood sugar under control.
Good luck! Hopefully you will pass and not have to worr about it.
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.

The three hour is not that bad! Bring a book/knitting/ipad and use it as an excuse to relax and do absolutely nothing. I never did the 1hr, I was sent right to the three hour and while it is a long wait, that was one of the more pleasant experiences during pregnancy compared to what ended up coming.
I can understand being upset and worried about failing the 1hr, but take a deep breath and try to remember its for your health and the health of baby that your doctor needs you to retest.
And no matter what, enjoy the beach in Cancun and the fresh salsa and guac next week!
