I shall start:

1. Favorite Christmas song(s) I prefer anything classic (like the oldies) - Nat King Cole's 'The Christmas Song' and The Eagles version of 'Please Come Home for Christmas' are my two favs. Also love Christmas Wrapping by the Waitreses

2. Hated/Disliked Christmas song(s) Anything by the Carpenters, Dominic the Donkey, Grandma Got Runover..., Madonna's version of 'Santa Baby', 'Christmas Shoes', plus most newly remade songs by current artists.

3. Favorite app/dinner item mashed potatoes

4. Favorite cookie/dessert choc chip or gingersnap

5. Drink of choice wine and egg nog (not combined)

6. Colored lights or white lights? white

7. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? At my MILs, we open one on Xmas Eve but we are traditional and do everything on Xmas Day

8. Favorite Christmas memory making/decorationg cookies with my grandmother

9. If you have kids (or will), do you have any old traditions you are continuing or starting new with them?will continue making cookies (I have my grandmother's old cookie press). I'm also getting each kid an ornament that reflects somthing big/important that happened that year in their life.

1. Favorite Christmas song(s) I love This Christmas. R&B is my fave haha. Although I have a new appreciation for Rudolph since my kid sings it in the most adorable and hilarious fashion.

2. Hated/Disliked Christmas song(s) Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCartney. RAGE. Fun fact. My mom used to download screen saver/desktop packages with themes. Her Christmas theme one year had this song every time you clicked something you shouldn't have. Like instead of the Window's error sound, it was this song.

3. Favorite app/dinner item ham sauce. it's a weird family recipe that is delicious and amazing.

4. Favorite cookie/dessert I made butterscotch lace cookies yesterday that turned out AMAZING. But mom's fudge or chocolate chips are always the best.

5. Drink of choice beer or champagne this time of year

6. Colored lights or white lights? both. I don't discriminate

7. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? We're doing Christmas Eve with my MIL so we'll likely open with her that night. Christmas morning was always the time for presents growing up.

8. Favorite Christmas memory My parents always hosted and I just loved always having a house full of people, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. Also, once I was grown, before she passed away, I used to pick up my grandmom to bring her up to my mom and dad's for the day. During that 20 minute car ride, she would give me the dirt on the entire family. It was awesome. Christmas is a little sadder for me without her/that.

9. If you have kids (or will), do you have any old traditions you are continuing or starting new with them? We never really had "traditions" growing up. Just presents on Christmas morning and then helping my mom get ready/cleaning up before everyone comes over. When we finally find a house (hopefully this year!), I plan to take over the hosting duties. I want my kids to have those great memories of a house full of family

2. Hated/Disliked Christmas song(s): I'm kinda bleh about Christmas music in generak

3. Favorite app/dinner item: Ravioli with bracciole & meatballs. We always stick with Italian for Christmas.

4. Favorite cookie/dessert: Cheesecake

5. Drink of choice: Egg nog martini when I'm filling especially festive

6. Colored lights or white lights? Usually colored, but this year we switched to white....I really like the new look we have going on this year, but I kinda miss the loudness from past Christmases

7. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? One on Christmas Eve, and then the rest on Christmas morning.

8. Favorite Christmas memory: Watching A Christmas Story every year

9. If you have kids (or will), do you have any old traditions you are continuing or starting new with them? Baking cookies , and watching holiday films.

White although the newer purple/blue/green mix ones aren't bad

We have a million Christmases. My parents are divorced so tomorrow we have my mom's then her side, dad's then his side and then Xmas eve he will open one present at the family Christmas when Santa comes and Xmas is our house, IL's and then dh's immediate family. Next weekend is extended IL family. Whew! We will only open our presents on Xmas morning but the pajama elves will deliver his pj's on Xmas eve again
8. Favorite Christmas memory
Putting together the felt advent tree at my mom mom and pop pop's house. I'm bitter that my uncle took it and I didn't get it. They got it for me and my brother long after my uncle moved out :-(

Christmas elves deliver Xmas pj's the night before and we have a box that we will add an ornament to and give to DS when he gets a tree of his own. Last year was a first Christmas ornament of course. We will probably get one from hallmark each year so it has the date.

PG - we have many Christmases too. Both of our parents are divorced and remarried so we are always trying to juggle who we see and when.

It's so difficult! we've decided that for Thanksgiving and Christmas we will go see my family the weekend before. So far it has worked ok. I hate that we don't see my parents on the actual holiday but all the rushing around was miserable and I never got to enjoy our time with them anyway!!!

1. Favorite Christmas song(s) - Happy Xmas (both by John Lennon and Sarah McLachlans versions) and Domenick the Donkey (quit hatin'!)

2. Hated/Disliked Christmas song(s) - Meh, I don't have one I can't stand.

3. Favorite app/dinner item - Not into dinner, more into Christmas breakfast and crumb cake!

4. Favorite cookie/dessert - Andes mints or any cookie that has mint in it

5. Drink of choice - minty white russian

6. Colored lights or white lights? - white

7. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? DH and I buy each other an ornament each year and we open them on Christmas Eve. Everything else gets opened on Christmas Day. We will incorporate the kids into this going forward.

8. Favorite Christmas memory - Christmas brunch at my moms house. Our cousins and aunt would come over and we'd play with our toys

9. If you have kids (or will), do you have any old traditions you are continuing or starting new with them? We'll do the ornament exchange mentioned above. The ornament has to reflect the person and their year, or be an inside joke, etc. You have to really put thought into it.

3. Favorite app/dinner item clams casino and cioppino - my favorite meal of the year

4. Favorite cookie/dessert iced Italian cookies and oatmeal cranberry cinnamon chip

5. Drink of choice homemade Baileys

6. Colored lights or white lights? white...simply because it means we can watch Christmas movies at night without having to turn anything on besides the tree and mantle...great ambiance

7. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? both since we celebrate with different families each day - I usually save most of the opening for Christmas day since we host Christmas Eve and it's too hectic

8. Favorite Christmas memory well Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year, so most of my favorite memories are from cooking with my aunt, cousin and sister all day in our house

9. If you have kids (or will), do you have any old traditions you are continuing or starting new with them? we are putting aside an ornament each year to give to DD when she moves out. We also hope to continue hosting Christmas Eve with both sides of our family since it is such a fun day/night.
