How early is too early...?

So, I'm a total Christmas fanatic and I am ready to send out our cards like yesterday...what's the earliest you'd send out Christmas cards? :)

Re: How early is too early...?

  • I share your Christmas fanatic-ness.  There's only 47 days 0 hours 47 minutes until Christmas (I have a countdown thing on my computer) :)
If you are American, I would wait until after Thanksgiving.  If you are in a country that celebrates Remembrance Day on November 11th, I would definitely wait until after that.  So, aside from that, I think the last week of November is a fine time to send them.

  • I generally wait until the end of November to send mine out unless they're going to family overseas, in which case I send gifts and cards out by the first week of November. I'm slacking this year though and still need to get those international packages sent, like yesterday, lol.
?Laugh whenever you can. Keeps you from killing yourself when things are bad. That and vodka.?
  • My mother used to always receive her first one from the same friend the day after Thanksgiving. I suspect she mailed them the day before thanksgiving. Before then is too early in my opinion.
  • Awesome! Thanks ladies!! :)
  • I usually don't send mine out until the week after Thanksgiving. I usually don't start receiving any until around that time too.
  • I know that Christmas is over with, but I usually send out my cards the Saturday after Thanksgiving. However, I'm usually done with my cards (labeled, filled out and ready to be mailed). Getting it done early helps me to see who I forgot and gives me a chance to correct any mistakes.
