Issues during inspection?
Our inspection/walk through was today. There were two "big" issues. However, he explained neither were red flags. IDK. There is some "settling" of the home, noticeable cracks we didn't see before. One beside a bay window and the other in the dining room (same side of the house). He reported that he believed the issues were cosmetic. Second, there was "moisture" under the house. He reported that he couldn't find a leak but believed there to be a "tiny" one somewhere along the copper main line. Anyone one have issues during inspection? We plan to have someone else (plumber) look at the home. If you did have issue, what did you do to remedy them?
Re: Issues during inspection?
The moisture problem you definitely need to find and get remedied. Especially if it is the result of a plumbing leak.
As for the settling. All structures will settle somewhat after they're built. A truly cosmetic one you don't need to worry about. You can patch the cracks, paint over them, and move on. It is the non-cosmetic ones you need to worry about and get corrected before something more serious happens.
My recommendation. Get a plumber to come out and look at the piping. Get a foundation company to come out and look at the foundation to make sure it isn't really a serious issue.
Or go find another house?
