Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
First of all, I can't believe H and I are moving in 2 weeks!!!
Second, I'm looking to meet people in the area. We had some friends who lived in the DC area, but they all moved away in the past year (booo). I went on the Nest local boards and saw that there was a DC area board. I clicked on it, but apparently they have a password protected private website instead of using the Nest boards. I guess if you comment on the Nest board, someone will eventually give you the password. I was just wondering if anyone is part of that group and whether it's worth it or not.
We have to plan a Oct 2012 meet-up!
Re: DC area ladies
I've never went on the DC board. I did try the MD one and they were really cliquey. I'm usually on the de board since I'm only 10 miles from de.
I'm so up for a meet up! Let's plan when you get settled in.
@mana8503 I saw that the only MD group is the Baltimore group, we're a little bit closer to DC than Baltimore...so that's why I tried the DC one. Good to know that the MD group isn't so great.
I can't wait to meet up!
Here's some pics of the new townhouse! It was originally over budget, but since it's new construction and they were desperate to rent units we got a great deal! When we looked at the place, I seriously did not want to leave that kitchen! I have BIG plans for cookings some great meals in there!
