Happy New Year!

Here's to 2014, ladies! May it be a good one for all of us!

Echo - Congrats again on baby Dominic's arrival!!

Anyone make a new years resolution? I don't, because I never keep them so I just figured it's best not to bother trying. hahah!!
We went to a friends place last night to watch the ball drop and eat snacks. They had so many commercials on tv you barely got to see anything. My friend didn't feel well and ended up going to be right after midnight, I felt bad. Then I couldn't get DH to leave so it was like 1:30 when we got home. That crazy man.

  • Happy 2014!

We were at home last night so it was quick to bed for me. Thank goodness the Aggie game was entertaining until just before midnight.

No real resolutions for me just a lot to look forward to :-)

  • We were at home relaxing for New Years. It was nice. We didn't entirely relax because dh had to take ds to the hospital because he hurt what we thought was his wrist but turned out to be his elbow with a dislocation that happens often to babies/toddlers. He's fine and it's a quick fix.

I have never ever in my life made a resolution. Not for the new year anyways. Last year in the spring dh and I felt like everything was going not our way so we decided 2013 was a year to be happy with where we were and what God had blessed us with. It's become our motto.
  • Echo - I hope he's ok!  Not the way you want to start the new year.

No "resolutions" persay but just things I'd like to work on:

    - We bought a treadmill so I'm going to try to get back to running and hope my leg cooperates this time.  DH also wants to lose some weight so I hope this helps with it.

    - I also hope to change my attitude about work.  The sucky things aren't going to change so I need to adjust my attitude about everything.  My goal is to make it through the year and if things are still just as bad, I'll start job searching.

  • Echo - Hope he's ok! Somehow every injury with a child seems so much worse!

Aggie - We had planned to stay home, too, but try not to turn down visiting friends since we don't have many here.

LBV - I like the way you think, not resolutions just things to work towards. That seems less daunting somehow.

Exactly.  I feel like if I make a resolution or a promise to do something and then I don't, I feel like a failure and get down on myself.  But if I just try to do better, it seems easier and I don't get mad at myself if I'm not perfect at it.
