It's -36C here, which the interwebs tell me is -32F.

We're not getting the snow though, so it's a really lovely, clear, crisp day from inside the windows.

It is 9 degrees here. We got about 8 inches of snow and it just stopped snowing at 10. I now have to decide if I want to drive into work and work a half day or use one of my very precious 13 days of time off.

It's only supposed to get up to 9 here today with wind chills well below zero. Next week is going to be even worse...a low of -12 on Monday night/Tuesday morning and barely getting above zero on Tuesday plus wind chills. I don't know how you ladies who live farther north or in colder places do it!

My weather app tells me it is 14 degrees here. I have not gone outside. I am snuggled up on the couch with one of the cats and the dog, hot tea close at hand. Looking out at the bright, sparkling snow is awesome, because I know I don't have to go anywhere. Other people on my street are clearing their cars/driveways/sidewalks. I'm not doing shit! Heck...the RE told me no exercise, right??

I got to work 15 minutes early today. It's 10 degrees, 10 inches of snow, and I was the only one in the office for the first 90 minutes of the day. Now there are 3 of us. I just want to go home and get my house ready for the 50-60 people we have coming tomorrow!

We were expecting more snow than we got. I think we only got 6ish inches (TWSS). Not sure if that's just from last night/this morning, or if it includes Thursday morning?

One of our cars had a scheduled maintenance date, so H and I dropped it off, then he brought me to work. I got here by 7:30, and was the first one. My next co-worker came around 10 of 8, and we were alone for a good couple of hours. My boss is expected any minute now, and H should be picking me up around 1/1:30 for our closing. Sounds like a perfect day to me!

Now the sun is shining bright! It won't help the temps any, though. I hear we're expected to set a record low (for us) tonight.

It's our Happy Holidays/Happy New Year party. It's really two batches of 30 people. Family is supposed to come around 2 and then our friends around 7:30. Looking forward to it! I love entertaining!

I'm lucky enough to be working from home today....I took one of the work laptops home yesterday just in case and it was a good thing I did too because my train line was suspended today. (I live on the worst line on the LIRR...booooo)

We had a snow day today, wind chills were in the negatives and while there wasn't much snow we have some areas that don't seem to know how to plow. H tried to go into work but his truck has been acting up and it got bad enough this morning that he turned around to come back home and take it to the garage. I offered him my vehicle since I had just found out I wasn't working (at work) but he wasn't fond of leaving me here with two vehicles that weren't safe to drive today. To be honest, I sort of wish he'd have gone in because I'm not as productive when he is here and he has spent a lot of time on the phone dealing with work anyhow because out of about 25 people that he manages 5 came in today.

Today wasn't too bad for us here in Indiana (we had a high of like 15), but we got 5-6" of snow on Wednesday night and we're expecting another 8-12" Sunday, with no positive temps whatsoever from Sunday night through Tuesday night and wind chills as low as -48... I wanna go back to Mexico
