WTF appointment scheduled - a few qs

DH and I are going to my WTF appointment on Wednesday morning. Is there anything I should ask besides the following?
  • Is there a specific reason we had so few follicles and only one egg retrieved? Was it the drug cocktail? How will you change our protocol for the next cycle given that I've responded well to other drugs (Clomid) in the past? Is there a reason I produce many more follicles than I do eggs?
  • Can we begin our next cycle soon?
  • Do you recommend getting another sample from DH? Can we look into TESE given the issues we've had in the past?
  • Do you still recommend transfer of one blast next time? Why didn't this one take?
  • Are there any blood tests you recommend redoing?
  • Has our diagnosis changed from unexplained to something else?

And for those of you who have had a period after progesterone, what should I be expecting and when? I assume AF will arrive in a day or two, and Dr. Google tells me to basically expect the apocalypse of periods. True?

Thanks for reading. Enjoy looking at my new shoes that I bought after my BFN HPT:

Nice shoes and I LOVE that gif.

With respect to AF after progesterone, mine started while I was still using the suppositories.  I recall AF being a little heavier that month, but nothing too crazy.

Edit: I did an IUI and not IVF. I'm not sure if that would make a difference.

  • Pretty shoes!

Nothing extra to add for the questions, but similar to nfp, AF was a little heavier but nothing alarming.

Hoping the appointment goes well and you get some good answers.

  • Those sound like good questions to me.  We didn't do a WTF appointment, so no real advice on other questions to ask.

As far as your next period, it really won't have so much to do with the progesterone, but really the fact that you worked for a long time to build a nice lining.  Perhaps a lining thicker than during an unmedicated cycle.  My post BFN IVF period actually wasn't anything different than normal.  We didn't go directly into another cycle (for various reasons) but the second period after that was much heavier with more cramps than normal.

  • Those are great questions (and super cute shoes!). Nothing new to add to your questions, but my experience with AF after progesterone suppositories... 1st time was actually lighter than my regular; 2nd time was heavier, but I was also doing estrogen suppositories at the same time which may explain why. GL, hope AF is easy on you!
