Thankfully it's warmed up a bit today, but only because it's clouded over and we're getting dumped with more snow! I need to get away...

Wow! I feel for you! Meanwhile, we are looking at being in a drought for the summer as it has not rained enough here (I work for the State Water Resources) and it has been warm and sunny like spring, which is nice to be outside, but the lack of water is going to hurt us badly.

Dang! I think that's going to be heading down towards my area (not quite that cold though). I'm in Indiana and the high Monday is supposed to be -10, with a low of -16.. and windy. Brrr..

We have blizzard-like conditions today, yet everyone is still in the office - just goes to show that we don't scare easily! We're hearty folks here as other major Canadian cities (Toronto, Vancouver, etc.) would have declared a state of emergency at this point! We're somewhat used to the snow and cold, but this is just a bit more extreme than we're used to!

I'm grateful for my new job as I have free parking here (no longer working in the downtown area), so I drive every day now. When I worked downtown, I walked or took the bus home and in these temps, even the 5-10 minute walk from the bus stop would have been too much. I can't complain too much when I only walk 20 seconds from work/home to my car and back again.

Its so cold here! They've changed the low tonight (Indiana) to -21! We had about 10 or 11 inche of snow yesterday. Lots of places aren't opened and my company cancelled 1st shift. So, I'm spensing my birthday chilling at home and doing nothing.

All we have are a couple of small ice patches here and there. It's amazing how much traffic one tiny ice patch can cause down here.

Happy birthday athlete!

It was cold here today... cold for Florida at least. I have a morning duty directing traffic at work and it felt like 20 out so we were all bundled up. Then kids were still showing up to school in shorts and no jackets on! Crazy.

Thanks everyone! It was pretty boring - I was stuck at home all day because DH had my car, and he didn't get home til 7:45pm because of the roads! We went to dinner at the Waffle House (because that was about all that was open).

I seriously do not remember a time when the whole stinkin city basically shut down!
