Taking everything down this weekend. I hate how empty the house looks. I have decorations up since fall. Now nothing. I try leaving snowmen up, but most of my snowmen decor is Christmasy and that bugs me. Time to go shopping, I guess!! :)

Re: Christmas decorations

  • I have some 'winter' decorations. Snow stuff that's not Christmassy...it helps with the emptiness.
  • Ya I have some snowmen that Ill leave out til February, but thinking we'll take the tree and other stuff down next weekend. I love decorating, but trying to really organize my house is hard with my normal decorations stashed everywhere in my office....especially now that L is here and has so much stuff already!

  • After Christmas decorations come down, it always makes me want to go on a redecorating spree for regular decorations because everything is so bare.

Haha I've been online browsing the last 30 mins. I really need to decorate the front room (it has a plant and a shelf... That's it) and I wanna do a collage of pictures in the living room... I feel like it's been 3 years and we barely have anything on the walls.

Haha, I know what you mean, @mana8503!  Finally putting something on the "dining room" wall has made all of the other bare walls stand out even more.

Me too. I pick a room. DH does molding, etc. Then we pick a paint color and I figure out window treatments, and other decor. Stresses me out. So far we have 4 rooms done. Next up is the foyer and living room.
