  • I won't be getting anything in today! I got a steroid shot in my knee yesterday and it's SO STIFF. haha. I can barely walk around. They said it should be better tomorrow!

  • @xxjen015 - I hope your knee feels better!  Are you suppose to rest it, or work the stiffness out?


    My goals this week - work out at least 3 times, 2 times at the gym.  
    Reward - make- up, probably the elf primer

  • @xxjen015 I am sorry your knee is still.  I hope it feels better tomorrow!

    I'm not trying to lose weight, obviously, but I want to stay healthy.  My goal when I go back to work is get 3 gym visits in a week.  I am only planning to do 30 minutes max, either treadmill or arch trainer.  I am going to go at a slower pace too.  I just want to keep  cardio up to keep my lungs strong and maybe give myself more energy.

    Once I'm out of my first trimester, I found a prenatal yoga class I want to try out.

    I haven't thought of a reward for myself, but that may motivate me to actually go to the gym.  I'll think about it and post on Monday.

  • H and I actually ended up going on a walk around the neighborhood! I think it was probably around 1.5 miles. It felt like it worked out the stiffness while we were walking, but now it's kinda hurting. :-/ Oh well, it should still hopefully be better than ever tomorrow! If not, next option is joint fluid injections. Yippee!

    Would icing after exercise help? When I injured my knee I had to ice it after work outs.

  • It isn't an injury, so not really :( I've found out that I have early signs of arthritis and I have a hole in the cartilage behind my kneecap. What cartilage I do have is good, but that hole has caused enough stress on my joint to create a cyst in my kneecap. Ice feels good, but it doesn't do much to ease the pain.
