  We went on a trip to Hawaii for our anniversary because we had a mini-moon so the plane tickets were our 'paper' gift.

  T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

  We didn't do gifts this year. But we gave each other cards. That's paper!

  We never do gifts, but I would frame something as a gift.  DH loves getting stuff to put up in his mancave.  Does he have a movie or book he loves that you could frame the cover of?

  Or tickets to a game sounds like a winner too.

Wasn't even thinking about it until later, so I was like, score. Tickets for March are still a gift. We did that for his Bday once, tickets for like 6 months later. Happy Almost 1 year!!!

  We at least try to incorporate something of the traditional material as part of our anniversary gifts. I got DH tickets to a Flyers playoff game for our first anniversary (lucky for me they were in the playoffs!).

  We do gifts, but only DH follows the traditional/modern gift suggestions.  The modern gift idea for the 1st anniversary is clocks.

  We try and do something traditional each year. For the first, I kept a journal of the first year that I started on our wedding day and made the last entry our first anniversary.

  We do traditional, but I told DH I wanted mortgage papers, so I'm not very helpful. Tickets sound like a perfect gift!
