Today is my day off and I am up early because that is what my body does. Arg. It's really cold here too. They cancelled school because of the temperatures. But I have 2 Appts to get to today. Bummer!

I finally got to read the post yesterday (yay being the only Dr at work on a Mon)

That is a lot of proposals Degrea but at least she is saying no now instead of I quit later. I hope she finds her happiness.

And lets not talk about the heating bill. Not only is the heat on more but so is our gas fire place eek.

Our school are all closed today again too. Brrr!!!!!
I hate when you have a chance to sleep in and can't. That's the worst. Ds 1 is our personal alarm clock and never seems to get the sleep in memo.

I feel the need to do some baking but that requires energy and eggs so bit likely to happen. I just want some muffins dang it!

Is Dh home echo? When do your day care kids come back?

My body is my personal alarm clock. I just can't sleep in any more. I knew I would eventually turn into my parents. I just figured it would be after I had kids :-P. But it's really ok. I actually enjoy my quiet time in the am. I am currently trying to focus on a daily devotional in the am +/- exercise. (its to cold for outside exercise before the sunrise this week!)

I enjoy my quiet time in the morning too. I like getting up before ds so I can wake slowly and enjoy alone time with dh. I should use it better for devotional time too - that's a good idea.

Dh is working but my mom is here till the weekend. I have another week off for sure but may take 2 depending on how this week goes. Then my sil will be here for a few weeks when I first get the kids back.

Afternoon Pretty Ladies!! It is chilly here today. -1 F with wind chills -25 or something like that. Where I went to college this would be a normal day in the winter so I am sort of use to it. Northern NY is sort of a b!tch at times, hahaha! -30F with wind chills making it feel like -50F now that is cold!! Yes my sister has said no 3 times. Only one of them actually had the ring bought, the rest wanted her to pick it out since she is particular. I don't think any had asked dad before. My dad told her BF now that he had his blessing but he better check with the difficult one.

I am still sick but I don't have a fever. So on the mend. I have this cough that is so bad. I can't seem to kick it. It keeps me up at night, so I am not getting the rest I need. Also might be an over share, but I cough so hard it makes me puke. I called the doctor twice now but she hasn't returned my call. There must be something I can take but so far everything I have tried doesn't work. I have eaten my body weight in cough drops.

Echo: I thought DH gets leave in Canada? Or is that just for the first? Glad your mom and SIL will be there to help!

Umm hello awkward. I am put to eat for lunch between Dr Appts and I am alone so I found a little nook at the back of the restaurant (almost empty restaurant) and some guy sits at the table next to me. Not only does he sit next to me but he basically blocks me into this nook. Weird

Degrea - dh can take leave. He's at a busy point with his job right now so he isn't going to take his leave until summer. We're planning a trip to the east coast so he'll use it then instead of vacation time. He can take up to the whole year since I can't take any this time being self employed. However his work only tops his pay up for 16 weeks so he'll take less than that off - Probably just a month. It'll be nice though. Plus he likes that age better than the newborn stage so he'll enjoy being home then more.

Aggie that is super awkward.

Hello!

Schools were closed here, too, so DH had off and he made sure to rub it in my face. Thanks, babe, thanks so much.

I got to work in The Birthplace today! It was nice! It's really nice up there and plus I got to see cute babies, so that was awesome!

Aggie - I would be like "DUDE really?!" to that guy, not cool. Also DH can't sleep in anymore, either.

Degrea - I hope you feel better soon!!

Echo - That will be nice to have your H around later on when the baby is older instead of right now. I know newborns are a lot of work, but most mothers get the most help then and almost none later on. So that could be nice!

Ya, I was not happy with him, at all. All he did today was put away the clean dishes that I had washed yesterday. The dirty ones are still in the sink, the vacuum wasn't run, the bathroom sink wasn't cleaned out. Great, thanks so much babe. I'd love to spend my day off tomorrow cleaning the house. I am not happy with him at all. We've been fighting a lot over him not helping with housework.

Sorry JLQ!! I have no advice for that because I am the one that really doesn't help with the house work. Between being sick all the time and Christmas my house work duties have suffered.

Thanks, ladies. It's nice just to vent about it sometimes.

We have the discussion a lot and I feel like he just doesn't get that I can't be superwoman and do school, school work, go to work, and do all the housework too. I'd just like him to wash the dishes without me begging him to do it one time. I don't think that's too much.
